Captain_Obvious Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 I see a $0 sticker on cars listed on Marketplace all the time -- that's cool because I know they're looking for an offer. But this genius stuck a "Free LEGO" sticker on his listing, then pulled the old bate and switch. I wasn't expecting anything, it just reminded me of the creepy van I've seen on BP that makes me laugh every time. You know he's getting some hate from the 'freebies' on Marketplace lol. Quote

iahawks550 Posted April 8 Posted April 8 I thought it was pretty interesting that I was at 99%, and it wasn't really dark at all. Barely noticeable. Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted April 8 Posted April 8 I was around 85%. It looked like the sun was dimmed to 50% brightness Quote
Popular Post cladner Posted April 9 Popular Post Posted April 9 I was lucky enough to be in totality poolside at Stowe mountain lodge in Vermont while dj logic and g love rocked the village. Once totality hit it was dark as 10 o’clock and very very cold in the shadow of Mt Mansfield. In totality I could see the corona red curls popping out with naked eye no solar glasses You could literally see the wave of dark and light coming over mountain. 99% and 100% were starkly different. Very surreal with fresh snow, kids swimming and eclipse happening all at once. Shocking how little sunlight it takes to make it seem light on earth. extreme fleeting nature of this once in a life experience left me feeling paper thin and completely whole at the same time. Thank goodness my kids wanted to see to see it so bad. Traffic back sucked bigly. 10 Quote
Popular Post Phil B Posted April 9 Popular Post Posted April 9 Dayton, OH here ... 100% totality. This was my second time, after seeing the full eclipse of 2017 near Bowling Green, KY.Haven't had the time to do proper editing, but here is a timelapse sequence of the last 3 minutes before totality, and a few mins after. Also a shot of the eclipsed sun, but not sure if Tapatalk limitations give the inage enough resolution for you all to zoom in and see the moon obscuring the sun.Sent from my SM-A326U1 using Tapatalk 10 Quote
Popular Post exciter1 Posted April 9 Author Popular Post Posted April 9 Totality about 30min west of Columbus too. My friend took this picture and several others had pics like it. You can clearly see a solar flare. 11 Quote

The event is so overwhelming that it’s hard to get everything right and still take it all in. Edited April 9 by Mathew 2 Quote
Mathew Posted April 9 Posted April 9 The actual color of the prominence is a bright purple kind like the tips of the bolts inside a plasma ball 22 hours ago, iahawks550 said: I thought it was pretty interesting that I was at 99%, and it wasn't really dark at all. Barely noticeable. Yikes. You should have traveled the extra 1% for totality. Literally night and day difference. Quote
