Hi Everyone,

My name is Khairul and I'm from Malaysia, started collecting Lego sets few months back. I'm thinking to start selling Lego sets in my country. I've sold few sets recently, sets I bought from Amazon. The problem is the shipping cost to Malaysia is quite high and it's prevent me to make a decent profit (negative margin for the last two sets I sold). Any suggestions how I can bring in Lego sets to Malaysia, and save as much as I can on the shipping? Current practice is sets I bought from Amazon delivered to my U.S address, wait for few sets to arrive and consolidate everything and shipped to Malaysia.

Apology if my english hard for you guys to understand.

Regards,

Khairul

Maybe have a family member bring stuff over when they visit....

The reason LEGO is expensive in Malaysia is mostly the shipping from the other side of the world.... as you are having to pay that to get it there you don't have much margin for flipping.

Apa khabar Khairul!

You should trying sending them back directly. Sometime Amazon give you a cheaper rate then if someone sends it back for you. Sometimes my brother buys stuff and ask me to send it to him back to KL, and when I checked with Amazon it is a lot cheaper.

BTW, why does your address show Singapore?

I'm not sure why is showing Singapore, perhaps my internet setting in the office using Singapore IP address. Just guessing. BTW, are suppliers on Alibaba's website can be trusted? They quoted me few UCS sets with a very low price. Seems fishy. Plus the price they quoted includes shipping. I told the supplier I want to order few sets first instead of minimum 20 sets, and see how things goes. The seller agrees and I transferred via Moneygram. The next day she informed me that her boss doesn't approved the order, and I managed to get the refund. Anyone have expriences that can be shared?

Questions that I keep asking myself is why the prices is way lower than market price? Secondly if the supplier want to cheat me, why he/she never claimed the money that I've transferred and asked me to claim the refund.
