Hello all,   Just got a nice Friends store display from ebay for my girls. The batteries seem to be dead and I am trying to figure out how to replace them. Here is the auction link for reference.

 

    The battery compartment seems to be on the bottom with wires running up the rear to the top lid. (by the way the top lid arrived cracked, any idea where to get a replacement?) The wires disappear into the bottom so I definitely have to access the bottom interior. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm fairly mechanically minded but this thing has stumped me.

There must be a way to open the bottom part, but without pictures it is hard to tell. Even with pictures it might be hard. The ebay pictures show the wire, but not really the bottom. I suppose you can always just cut the wires and attach what you want, but I would also go for a better solution if I were you.
