My order status

Recommended Posts

Ordered a 42063 BMW Technic Bike on 11/25. Supposed to be delivered today (11/30). Just now, at 1pm, I receive this:
Shipment Delayedwww.amazon.com/ref=fxm_3_0_tex_h_________________________________________________________________________________________________Hello Sir,We're encountering a delay in shipping your order. The new delivery date is indicated below. We'll send a confirmation when your item ships. We apologize for the inconvenience.=================================================================================================Order #xxx-xxxxxxx-xxxxxxxPlaced on Sunday, November 25, 2018 Your new estimated delivery date: Wednesday, December 12, 2018 Items: LEGO Technic BMW R 1200 GS Adventure 42063 Advanced Building Toy Sold by Amazon.com Services, Inc

Is this normal? That's 2 weeks later ... they didn't know this until the day the item was supposed to arrive? Sounds fishy to me.
Went ahead and chatted with a CS rep, but all she could tell me it was out of stock, and that I had to wait. I'm curious what's going to show up on the 12th - if anything it will be someone's FBA item that they'll send me as I doubt there will be new stock coming in.

Lo and behold, I received a shipping notification yesterday!

You'll probably also end up with a mystery courtesy credit added to your account at some point.

Barnes and noble accounting is terrible. I had a few orders earlier in the year with discount codes. They were only able to send half the order and I got charged 80% of the total cost.

I called in to get it resolved. Transferred three times, they told me i owed them money and thats why it didn't ship, told i was charged for what i ordered (wrong), my account shows everything costed 49.68 when most were 15$, the last representative hung up on me when i tried to explain how the charges were wrong.

They stole around 30$ in total and it just wasn't worth it trying to get it all resolved.

This was why they went with cancelling a bunch of whole orders yesterday.  Counting is hard when trying to be snotty and condescending at the same time :drag:

I spoke with a Walmart clown...I mean customer service rep...the other day after all my orders were getting cancelled.  The told me to make up a new account.  Fake it basically.  Top notch service and advice!

I don't need to be told to make up a new account, I do it all them time ?  I rotate my accounts on Amazon about once a year and they've yet to notice. There's ways around all limits and you just have to be creative, ask friends or just pick up the phone and be a little cheeky.

Question for the group. I ordered a large-ish batch of sets on Ebay. Listing said priority shipping & I got charged ~$50 for said shipping. A week & a half later I don't have my sets yet and come to find out they were shipped using parcel select. My guess is that the shipper didn't charge me enough for shipping & tried to make up the difference by using the cheaper option, or just plain wanted to pocket the difference.

Normally I wouldn't care all that much, but this was time sensitive for multiple reasons - I want to get the sets to Amazon ASAP and more importantly, I am now temporarily displaced due to a remodeling project. Had the sets been delivered on time there would have been no issues, now I'll have to go through the hassle of picking the package up at the post office.

My question - what's fair here? I thinking of asking for my shipping cost to be refunded. Is that too harsh? Not harsh enough?

I think that would be a fair request, especially considering the extra hassle the delayed method cost you.

Agree with asking for a refund. Sellers shouldn't **** around with shipping methods. And if they do, mistake or no, they should communicate about it up front.

If there's not even an apology for the mistake and partial refund, I'd take it up with eBay/PayPal since you paid for service you didn't get.

And if the order also arrived outside the delivery window, I'd consider flagging it to eBay regardless of outcome since the defect counts against Top Seller status.

Blinq order shipped

Wrong thread. This belongs in the DD one ;)

Mine shipped too.  What's interesting is that it's coming from Target/Optoro.  I wonder if it was Target's inventory they got rid of.

UPS site says the package weights 6.3 ounces. Hopefully that changes when it gets scanned.

FYI - got the Blinq Batman caves in. I think the mailman was unhappy as they came in four huge boxes and he put it so I couldn't get out my door! All sealed and no real problems with any boxes. Unbelievable value for parting out at that price.

Nice - Looking forward to mine as well!

Multiple shipping boxes for me as well - I really hope that I get a lot of extra packing material too (cause sometimes that's what really makes me go woohoo).

How did it arrive? In shipping boxes or just slapped a shipping label on it and done?

If they used shipping boxes, how many sets her shipping box?

Not sure if this is the right thread but my Blinq ordered arrived intact.  Only ordered one Batcave and it was packed decently.  The seals on one end of the Lego box had come loose.  I checked the contents and all the bags are there including the three gold fire pole things.  Manual is pretty bent up but that's not unexpected since Lego quit including the cardboard backing.

They came with copious amounts of packing material - the sealed air bags. Just a metric ton of it. One huge box had three sets in it, one had one, one had two, the other had two. The one with one in it was a huge box for just one set. Filled to the brim with the most packing bubbles I've ever seen in a box.
