I now join the ranks of those with multiple cancelled orders on WM....I only placed three separate orders for three separate items.
They fed me a line about credit card issues, which I know is crap......anyone else get that excuse?

My 3 out of 5 orders which were canceled had the same excuse about credit card issue.

Yep.  Same excuse on two accounts.

Add me to the list .. I asked for my case to be escalated after they said I can ship in store since there are payment issues .

Do you mean shop in store?  I got the same canned response on two different occasions:

I’m sorry that your order was canceled. Your order did not pass some of our security checks during processing. These checks are in place to prevent unauthorized use of your credit or debit card. An online order cannot be placed at this time, but you can check your local store’s inventory to see if they have the item in stock.

The Walmart cancellations appear to be Lego specific. I do arbitrage on various items and I've been able to order many hundreds of them since the Walmart order cancellations.

The fraud detection Walmart is using is very strict. You will have to be creative to get around this and it won't be easy.

Fun times moving into the holidays.

I never order more than 12 Lego at a time from Walmart.  Are you guys ordering more than that?  I have ordered 12 of the Ant Man set 3 or 4 times in the last few months and just did another order on Sunday with no problems.

Yes.  I typically order between 50 and 100 copies of a set in each order.  I generally spread my orders out, but have placed a few larger ones over the last few weeks.

So you guys are getting cancellations even though you're purchasing within the nominal quantity limits?  I wonder what's going on.  I wasn't surprised that I got tagged, but am surprised that here that you have with that kind of purchasing pattern.

I ordered 20 Ant-man which shipped, Big Ben which shipped but my Ghostbusters firehouse from a few days ago is still in the preparing order stage.  I am afraid of ordering more until the ghostbusters ships.  I used my last 10% walmart coupon on the firehouse so it better ship.

Add me to the list.  I placed several large orders a few weeks ago that all shipped but then a few were cancelled in succession.  I placed two very small orders after that which were successful.  Then I placed a third order (multiple sets but modest quantities) which was cancelled.  Since then I only ordered a non-LEGO item which shipped.  Something is definitely amiss with LEGO and I'm hoping its temporary.

I've spent way too much sourcing the past 30 days so I'm not losing sleep over this yet but I'll be concerned if this becomes a long-term problem.

I ordered 14 Ant man and it shipped. Everything after that has been canceled. I was ordering a set I have never ordered before. I tried ordering 5 then 2 then 1. All canceled. So how do we get around this?  Any ideas?

Google Express?

ADD: Jet usually mirrors Walmart stock & pricing, but they're monitoring as well.

It depends on what's going on behind the scenes.  If WM is cutting down on bulk Lego buying, there's not much that can be done about it.  Historically when this has happened, I was always able to get the flag cleared by chatting with customer service through the website.  I've done that this time around, but it hasn't worked yet.

I placed order on Jet.com and just now on Google Express. Customer service said I was not flagged but obviously I am.

They cancelled those orders too?

Yep...I just tried through GE and got cancelled almost immediately.

Moving forward, the world of arbitrage is going to get much much harder. Target/Walmart's account reconciliation and order limits are moving towards policies similar to Amazon. Companies want the deals going to end users to create a larger user base. Then if there is any left over, then the hoard can have em.

Based on my experiences as a software engineer in large corporations, I would expect next year to be worse (Target is still pretty far behind) and the year after that to be nearly impossible to get the volumes some of us are purchasing, at the price and times we want them.

In a world of increasingly fewer options to purchase from it may be wise to start strategizing ways around these limitations.

I wonder if WM went after accounts with a resale tax exemption

I didn't have a resale tax exemption on my account.
