Popular Post Jeff Mack Posted March 7, 2014 Popular Post Posted March 7, 2014 Ok, the full January 2014 and February 2014 is now available. Over the next 1-2 days I will continue to comb through it and look for issues/misses/etc. That happens everything month. I have also pushed updated brickfolio code that will now allow those of you outside the USA to select one of the 3 other available datasets to base your brickfolio on. (GBP, EURO, AUD) Just click the Change Currency button on the main Brickfolio dashboard page and it will allow you select the dataset. I just ask for a little patience still with this as every update we look for inconsistencies with the data from these other regions. Trying to find issues with over 10,000 sets takes time. You find some here, there, etc. Anyhow, let me know how it goes. If you find major errors, please send me a PM. Thanks Jeff 14 Quote

exciter1 Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 I have several things with no current value. Jeff, do you want a list of these, or do you usually wait for automated updates? I haven't worried about it in the past, since they are usually sets released in the past few months. Sometimes they are exclusives that don't register or update for some reason? Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 I haven't gone through mine but my Brickfolio went up by about 1.5K so you did it right enough for me. lol. 1 Quote
dman2900 Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Some of my stuff is not loading on the main page but it is in the list of the collection..... Quote
No More Monkeys Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Thank you for correcting the issue with brickfolio going back to the past, beyond the date of first entry ! Quote
Jeff Mack Posted March 7, 2014 Author Posted March 7, 2014 Some of my stuff is not loading on the main page but it is in the list of the collection..... Everything is still in the database. I still may have a few queries to look over etc. If you hover over the last entry in the set count graph, you will probably see a greater number there than in the table at the top. I will get this sorted later today. 1 Quote
nir4life Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 THANKS!!!!! Also.... for some reason my brickfolio isn't showing my 70810 Sea cow? Quote
gregpj Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Hey Jeff, Not sure if it's on your list and it certainly is very minor but the Least Valuable Set in the brickfolio sidebar links to your most valuable set. Label is right, link is wrong. Aside from the missing values against some older sets which I'm getting too (10221 is an example), looking good! Thanks, Greg EDIT: I take that back.. the only sets that seem to be "missing" are the ones that have not yet yielded a positive value in the "Performance" column. Not sue if that is by design, but the profit +/- label seems to suggest it might not be. Quote
waddamon Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Jeff, for some reason my PM were not working so I will put this here for you. So now the sets are right but the value number and graph are still wrong. Do you think the system just has to work through itself. Prior to the update I was at 819 sets and $xx,xxx give or take. Had i had a decline in value, the portfolio line would be descending rather than ascending. Thanks for your time. By the way I am an Investment Advisor /Certified Financial Planner. If you all need help as you develop more features etc. let me know. This has been a great resource and I am happy to help if I can. Waddamon Quote
abri123 Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Thanks for this from a very happy UK user. I'm now in profit with nearly every set I own - data seems accurate on a provisional scan too. Quote
odysea11 Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 The few little glitches will surely get worked out, they always do. As always, thank you for your continued hard work to provide an amazing product! Quote
brickmaster Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Great update. My brickfolio looks great. Prices look good. I am happy to hear that the one feature that the non-us members have been requesting is available to them now. Great job Quote

Alcarin Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 What happens to me every brickfolio update is changing currency on graphs back into USD Not sure if this happened the last tiem now with updates but just letting you know Jeff Great work btw! Quote
waddamon Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 So the valuation is still off on the main page. I think i know why when i go into entire collction view an ******/a is in the cagr or roi column for quite a few sets. It shows starting and current values but no % up or down. I expect this is an equation and 1 part of it is broken. Almost all of these sets like tower bridge were showing up before. A few of the new poly never do for a month or so due to lack of data. If worse comes to worse i can just delete the offending sets and reenter them. Quote

DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 I think he was saying everytime after an update all his currency preferences are set back to USD. Quote
Alcarin Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 I think he was saying everytime after an update all his currency preferences are set back to USD. Exactly..... then i switch back to EURO and its ok until the next update then it goes back to USD again. its no biggie really.... just letting you know Quote

I see what you mean there with the N/A Quote

I think we will form some sort of Investment/Brickfolio Round Table to discuss improvements with the next Bricikfolio version. Since my expertise is Nuclear Physics and not accounting and wealth management, we will seek help from professionals on the site that want to donate their time to improve the current Brickfolio. waddamon Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Sounds good. Let me know. I can pm my firm website if you all would like to know who is on the other side of the screen name. Quote

But I know what you are talking about. At this point, I think I have squashed most of the bugs for reporting the values in the Brickfolios. I looked at a bunch of brickfolios from the different regions and overall they look good. Quote
