The Lego store has become my go-to place for minifigures. Target/Meijer always are out. Toys-R-Us usually has them but priced at $3.19. At the store, the employees usually help out as well as long as they're not busy, since they say it often gets boring :)

Best time to go and smoosh in my opinion? Right when the store opens. My local store opens around 10am, which is early enough in the day that I can be usually guaranteed at least an hour before people with kids start showing up in droves.

Also, some general advice. My friend told me that the series that was around the holiday's last year became a lot harder to get a hold of the closer it got to the holidays, since many people would buy them as stocking stuffers.

I am half Japanese! Where is the Japanese love in minifigure land? Closest I got is Short Round. Oh...and if they ever make the minifigure of the CUUSSOO designer of the BTTF. I mean they even have Ninjas but named them Lloyd and Cole!!!!

Btw...I am joking :)

Believe me, I thought it was funny how american the names are for the ninjas or how cliche Sensei Wu is. I swear there has to be a "Wu" in everything. Ha. I know the CUUSOO Hayabusa comes with a minifigure based on the project manager, Junichiro Kawaguchi.

hey all,

been away for a super long time due to medical issues with my mother :(

however, through all of the stuff i've been going through, i wanted to post up my Series 11 BUMP CODES video...for 15 of 16 minifigs

in case anyone was interested...

the only one that i didn't post was the Constable

Good effort, but the bump codes aren't reliable as they change depending batch numbers I believe.

i think you're correct, however since these guys are barely hitting the shelves, i think this round of codes will be good for a little while...

i cross referenced them with different store bought doubles and they matched...

Are these pretty profitable right when they come out if you buy a case?

I know I paid 6.00 for a Jazz Musician.

....Wha? Huh?! You paid twice as much as retail for one? Where or who did you buy it off of?

OUCH!!!!

their retail cost is 2.99 - 3.19 :(

yep, but sometimes you'd rather pay more then spend time going through the bags in a store.

ebay?

As for the bump codes - I look for them and then try to feel for the items.  Codes save me some time ;)

Went to buy my 1st minifig to learn and understand how to smoosh :)

Got a welder and now I'm bursting with excitement to go to the shops tomorrow to get more... :)

Anybody have a smoosher's guide for this series?  I took a quick look but couldn't find anything.  A guide to what to feel for for each minifigure.  It'd help a lot.  Thanks!

I'm pretty sure, without going back to read, that a good proportion of this thread is a 'smoosher's guide'!

I just look at the pictures on the side of the box and work out what I'm feeling aside from the head, torso and legs!

Exactly. You cannot figure out a minifigure by just feeling for the head, legs, and torso. You have to feel for the hair and the accessories.

Picked up the gingerbread man today.

Also grabbed one randomly without smooshing, and it was the scientist, which I already have. Am wondering if I should go exchange, or just keep it for a gift (I work in a lab)..
