lisakt902
Hi all! Just wanted to ask a bit of advice. I started collecting a few lego sets last year after falling in love again (I never forgave my mum for giving away my lego as a child - ha!). I first bought a TB from the US as it was cheaper than the UK. After persuading the boyfriend to let me use his entire suitcase to transport, I was hooked. Since then, I've bought a few modulars and have now started to look at the super heroes sets. I just wondered whether you guys had any opinion on what to buy next (when I eventually get some more cash!) and whether the super heroes sets are a good investment or to go for more modulars. I'm looking at a little investment for the future however hard I'm going to find it to part with the beauties! So far I've got: 2x TB's, 3x GE's, 3x NASA Curiosity Rover, 5x BTF Deloreans, 1x FB, 3x Jabba's Palace, 2x Arctic Batman, 1x Daily Bugle, 1x Pet Shop modular, 1x TH Any advice would be grand! Gondorian
Hi there. You should get a Haunted House or two. And Arkham Asylum.
lisakt902
Gondorian - thanks for that. I was looking at the HH the other day. I'm considering that for my next big purchase. I'm just holding out for it to go on sale...... Along with 1000's others! ? Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker
weakside
welcome to the forum! that's a very nice collection already... I am starting to focus more on superheroes and modulars myself. go with your gut, read the reviews/forum posts, follow secondary listings and look for sales on sets you are targeting. and if you invest in sets you actually like it's less chance of being a dud since at worse you have it for personal collection. have fun with the hobby. Alpinemaps
Welcome. HH is an exclusive, and doesn't technically go on sale. Occasionally Walmart or Target will offer a gift card with purchase. In December, Target offer a $30 GC and just a couple weeks ago, Walmart had a $30 GC. I bought 2 HHs this way. You can also check Amazon Warehouse. I bought one that way, too. Best you will get is double VIP points next month and visiting Lego.com via a Cashback site. All that combined can be worth up to 15% off, effectively. theegypt
Looks like you've already made some good choices with the sets you have. I personally really like the super heroes theme for investment.
