Who said it was suppose to retire last year?

Any hint, Ed? :D

My order of 2 PS on the 5th of January just arrived, fresh mint boxes with seal codes 51S4.

I take this as good news. :)

Win some, lose some.  It's not an exact science.

More like win one, lose the rest.. 90% of what that guy said in that particular video is proving to be 100% wrong. People taking investment advice watching videos from brickshow probably need to rethink things.

The brick show guys are good guys and members here. There investment stuff seems to be off at times that being said that's not really what they do. Their lego reviews are second to none. 90% of what's said in this forum is also BS so there is no difference in taking advice from them or taking advice from joe schmo here.

Well, they speculate, just like we do in the "Retiring Soon Open Speculation" thread.  We're all wrong and waaaay off sometimes.

There is a slight difference.. The brick show guys get paid for putting incorrect info out there. Not saying they are bad guys, but there is a difference.

dont get me wrong, I love these guys and I take what they say as possible information like anyone else.  in that video they aboslutely nailed the sopwith camel, GE, SSD.  who knows... maybe at the time the T1, and Pet Shop were possibly end of lines, but then just at the last moment got renewed?

I like em too.. For reviews.. : )

Probably being too critical of their EOL advice, should keep my mouth shut when I don't have anything good to say but is a slow day. I do think their current EOL advice for DS is good.

Mixed indicators on this set.  Leaning towards it not retiring.

Code 51S4 says it all really, ages yet. I'm OK with this as all the ones I bought were discounted and I'll still pick more up and and when. My gut feeling is that it's a little overlooked to my advantage.  How many other modulars can you split in two?  Perhaps the one I'm ordering next week with have code 02S5?

My latest Falling Waters also had 51R4 and they are now Call to Check at LEGO Shop at Home

What I've heared is is that Lego is doing smaller prodcution runs (quantity wise) for the bigger sets. This might explain these occurences.

I was happy to see 51S4 because it can still mean it will retire soon. Over here the PS is sold out for over a month everywhere except for lego shop @ home.

Why is it the retailers don't get any new ones?

PS was still marked as available in week 51 at lego shop @ home, in week 1 of 2015 the status changed to OOS so the didn't make a new batch in 2015. It can still be that boxes with seal code 51s4 is the last batch of PS.

With two modulars retired in 2014 it would not suprise me to see no modulars retired in 2015.  Chaos at its best.

i have a friend who thinks that the PC will be retired in 2015 randomly simply because of its 149$ price point.  he thinks Lego wants to clear out the lower pricing point for the newer one (159$).
