Wouldn't the Ewok Village be the more logical set to retire?

With the way resellers have been buying it?

Remember Red 5 in 2014? Sets that sell stay around. I am sure Ewok Village got a one year extension on its contract.

Limit 5 can also mean they have loads and are happy for people to clear out the warehouse. I think this has gone, its just how many are left in europe, could this be another tumbler but with no retiring soon tag, who knows but i would say if people want 1 or more of them they should probably buy them soon.

Limit 5 on an exclusive means..."PLEASE BUY...A LOT!"

Hah I'm laughing here. Everyone was saying it was a trap to catch resellers a few months ago. Admiral Ackbar images and everything.

Yeah it seems clear Europe has them and we don't. Out of 51 for sell on eBay only 23 are North America sellers,  As far as I can tell.

Visual aid (assuming 75059 SC is no longer available in US), based on 'Available at LEGO.com' from Brickset website.  (Red outline/text currently available in US)

Wish I could afford another one. Only have 1 that I planned on building but if I can get some xtra $$ around Christmas time Ill prob have to let it go.

Well I buckled down and was able to get two by doing an over the phone order with the nearest LEGO store. Witch is in Chicago. Clerk was surprised cause she said they hardly sell any of that set. I know thats not true everywhere but a good sign that it could be going out for real.

Hmm I might go and screen shot an order from Europe from LEGO Shop at Home just to wind up the US based people

It's definitely available in Europe right now.  That just doesn't mean much, especially for Americans.  I have no problem believing this one has retired.  Last Winter actually would have been more or less "on schedule".  I didn't buy any, of course, since I think most lego sets, especially UCS (quite a reversal from the past, but the reseller surge has wrecked profit margins on exclusives), are pretty much a money pit given current market conditions (check out ol' 10240, for example) and the steadily rising cost of business (especially shipping).  I like the model and made good money selling 10144 for close to $400 back in the day.  I'm a bit skeptical this set can deliver as the earlier one did, though.  I paid $100 each for my 30 10144's.  Never saw that kind of discount for 75059.  Also, jawas remain available in multiples in a cheap set that should be available for another year or so.  That's a bit problematic for 75059, I think, since when I was selling 10144's (with three jawas each) for ~$380, jawas were selling individually on eBay for around $45 each.  How much will people pay for Luke's uncle?

I've been considering dropping a grand or 2 on this. However, it just looks like a bit of a turd (for display purposes at least). Like a fellow countryman said a bit earlier, good look to those who want to go out and hold a good amount. It won't be me though.

I don't know what you guys mean .. IMHO it is One of the few display vehicles which has a WHOLE lot a playability. This set also displays spot on to its movie counterpart vehicle! I also really love the sound it makes when you roll this beast on those tank tracks it just sounds so menacing ! If you don't like the way the sandcrawler looked in the movie ok.. But you can't says it doesn't do a VERY good job of portaying the movie vehicle.

I like your graphic but be warned that a UCS snob may be along to tell you that Ewok Village isn't a UCS set.

Nice chart. Puts things in perspective. Sandcrawler has been around longer than many UCS sets.

Is that chart right?  It has 10030 only being out for around 1 year.  I can't recall exactly, but it seems like it was around for longer than a year.

Anyone else catch that the Sandcrawler is back and orderable at LEGO Shop at Home with a Sept 9 ship date? Another run being done?
