So unnerving going deep on these now.  Though I like the quick to gone status on this.

Well, I don't foresee a Jawa movie coming out that would require a reissue of this set.  LOL.

At this point, at least with me, I feel more confident with 50% off City than any of the large exclusives.

Yep, decided on that the end of last year. Only bought 2 x TB 30% off and a Ninjago Temple 20% off yesterday all year which were over £100.

Good luck to those buying the big sets though, hope you all make good profit.

If this set goes from Red Sold Out to Green Available.
Then imagine Green until next year.

Didnt the same thing happen with PS earlier this year? Said sold out for a month or two and then BOOM, in stock...?

I also remember seeing earlier this week that the Sandcrawler was sold out and would be back in stock at LEGO Shop at Home in mid-September.  So maybe we shan't freak out yet.

Uh, everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine, we're all fine here now, thank you. How are you?

There's always a possibility of the set coming back in stock. Happens ALL THE TIME. But LEGO does need the space to promote their brand-spanking new 75159, so maybe the Sandcrawler is the casualty.

So now it says "Call to check product availability" on the US site .... anything to read into it?

Common.  Returns.  Maybe they found some stock.  It can take months for this to shake out completely.  Until it's labeled as a "Retired Product," all bets are off.

Wouldn't the Ewok Village be the more logical set to retire?

This could just be the beginning, imagine sets just dropping off the shelves.....

It's box dimensions are pretty large and it's a bit older than the SC.

Also, earlier this year I asked a Lego store employee which set I should go for first and he said that the SC should hang around longer (until next year) than the EV.

Lastly, it is still widely available at LEGO Shop at Home in Europe with a max. quantity of 5. I'd read that as the horde has gone wild a bit too early in the US.

There's no stock at Walmart and Target right now, right?  (When did Walmart poof, did i miss it?)   Amazon is poof too.  Resellers swooping in to claim remaining stock.  There's probably random sets lying around in brick and mortar lego stores (which I may swing by after work).  But all those signs are positive, but we've been burned before.

There's probably a slew of them at LEGO Discovery Centers.

I would assume that the LEGO Stores also have them as well in stock.

Limit 5 can also mean they have loads and are happy for people to clear out the warehouse. I think this has gone, its just how many are left in europe, could this be another tumbler but with no retiring soon tag, who knows but i would say if people want 1 or more of them they should probably buy them soon.
