Discreet like going around telling people not to discount a set and then go discount it myself to dump them all ;)

That would be 1) following the herd or 2) being forced to sell 10188s because of panic buyers dropping market price by $100 in 2 days instead of 1-2 weeks.

Whatever helps you sleep at night Lochte :)

We are all reseller scum here mate so no sweat. People like the buying stories as much as the selling, and since I am not liquidating anything interesting right now they get the buying story (although I could bore you to death with tales of 21110 sales for massive $18 profits each woohoo )

I wonder if I should ride the hype train to my Lego store and get one of these w my VIP points I've been sitting on.

I've been wavering between this and a Ferris Wheel for weeks.

Get one it's very good for display if you have the space the play features are great for kids as well and the droid escape gives you a cheap way to pick up Jawa minfigs

I recently took apart my used already assembled Sandcrawler that I bought on Craigslist when it sold it and I can attest that the set is very well constructed and very solid.  The top front section is a little flimsy, but the rest is am impressive combination of Technic and many other build techniques.  Well designed set!

This. I traded for one and took it apart, and it took a while. The Technic use is pretty incredible.

It looks like this one is going to go away, which is good.

Predictions for August 2017? I'd say it will hover from 400.00 to 450.00 and sits there for a while until half the resellers cave, and sell off their stock, and make 20.00  after fees and the horrendous shipping fees.  "Whoooo this is betta' than gold!"

Still available in Europe at LEGO Shop at Home with limit 5, as already mentioned earlier, a few pages back.

I only have one up till now. With Dutch RRP of €330 and no stores other than LEGO Shop at Home selling it, it's virtually impossible to get them at good discounts. Besides, like already mentioned by others, they need to increase in value a lot to get a good profit from the investments.

On the other hand, I think the Sandcrawler is a safer bet than the DS (10188) because I don't see Lego do a remake of this set any time soon.
