I would have been happy to use the profits of my 10188 sales on the "new" DS. If it were something new. Now I will use the money for modifications on the new house. 1 Quote

cladner Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 (edited) Iconic OT UCS Set from the first and best hour of the origin of the SW cinematic universe goes to Call to check product availability . OOS at target. OH YEAH! time to dust it off... Edited August 23, 2016 by cladner Quote
Val-E Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 And up until a month ago, that would have been a popular decision. I wonder after DS events, how many have the bottle to go in deep on this one at full RRP. Quote
BrickLegacy Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 I'm glad I flipped my 10 Death Stars into two Sandcrawlers. 9 Quote
c_rpg Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 5 here. Not planning on getting any more unless I see a great deal somewhere or I'm able to pick one up post-retirement. This set is still pretty widely available in Europe. I'm curious to see how fast it will be sold out once the magical "retiring soon" tag appears. Quote

Depends on the country, but if you don't limit yourself to shopping at German stores: Toysrus.fr, fnac, ... It was available at Belgian retailer Fun as well, but as I said in the retiring soon thread, they are not getting any more stock. EDIT: incidentally it appears toysrus.fr is having a -15% sale, but it's not really worth it cause the retail price is 40€ more than in Germany, so you're better of buying it at the German lego stores. I knew about Fun... but that is too far away for me. Quote

Fenix_2k1 Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 I've got my 3. Might buy more when it hits retiring soon but not before. It's a great model and a must have for any collectors who come out of the dark ages post retirement but retirement dates on UCS sets are no longer predictable, so I'm not commiting a lot of capital or shelf space to them. Not everything gets a retiring soon tag. If demand is high it will move directly to sold out or c2c. Quote
marcandre Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 In for a pair via tru. Just when I think I'm out. Sigh.... Quote
asharerin Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 Grabbed 10 at TRU for $200 shipped each - MLB and BOA. Grabbed 15 at Target for $220 shipped each last night (gone now, your welcome) - don't ask. Banned from Walmart so im not doing single orders for RRP or wasting other resources with that outfit. First (and last) SW purchases for the year. 1 Quote
