CyberLogic
FYI just called LEGO and the operator didn't know why the site showed Sold Out as her system showed it still simply on backorder. She was able to place the order for me over the phone and said the site should be updated later in the day. The order currently shows as backordred in my order status. exciter1
I'm banking on Town Hall being available again soon. Heck, even the City: Cargo Train was sold out for months on end in early 2013. Worst case, I'm sure I won't have a problem trading a Haunted House for a Town Hall sometime down the road.
weakside
to the Mods...my 'Quote' button doesn't work/hasn't work for weeks now...anybody else with this issue? Anyways. jerryherb, how do you get 10% off DC?: if you have annual membership they take 10% off purchases. Still regretting not scooped up more SSD, HH's, Rovers etc etc. Yeah, I'm with Miami Bomb Squad...TH will be back. Usually smart comments/points...I vote he/she should get one of those 'wisdom' icons
hannibal
I only have one, which is built actually....taking space on the kitchen plot May grab a few soon, so I haven't missed on this one, but even If I don't have the extra...I am still fine with it. After all, it was only natural..with so many exclusives available this year we needed some of them to retire...

Neosphinx
Everyone except a few. This set is not a good seller, low stock @ Lego, And since its 2x vip, their gone. I side with logic, GE is going to be 5 years next March, PS is at 3.5 years, TH is at 2.5 years. Now your telling me all three will EOL this year............Come on! Then what will be left PC & PR First one to go will be GE! I don't think any of those will officially be retired this year. However 2 of them MIGHT go in january. cladner
Out of the current modulars, TH is the building I would least like to build for some reason. Maybe other can recommend it's a good build/display? Just doesn't appeal to me but still have to have it. I have FB, GE, PS built so far...want to buy CP and PR next, holding out hope there's a 3x vip event coming in Nov can't have a modular town with a town hall. its the tallest of the modulars and looks great assembled.

cladner
Did Cinderella and the Prince stop by the Town Hall to get married? She has a castle for that sort of thing. nah - she got hammered down the street at the cafe corner bar and grill - you'll notice she's riding her horse while standing on its back with her head shaved recalling Britney Spears 2007 meltdown. has it really been 7 years ? where has the time gone. weakside
cladner, thanks for that pic. Looks great. For some reason I thought the TH was sooo tall/big it'll stick out like a sore thumb and not flow with the street scape/other buildings. Even beside the 'short' PS it doesn't look bad at all. BP members have changed my mind. Yup, you definitely need a TH for a Lego city/street.

I watched the video on Lego's site, where the designer introduces the set, and wondered why so many were down on it. It looks pretty neat on the inside, and the elevator is sweet. Maybe it's the price.
zskid00
Over 150 sold on Walmart.com this morning since it went to sold out status. This is available on TRU.com also with a limit of 4. And no, I don't think this one is done. I just find it interesting to track the availability when the status changes at the Shop at Home site. Sauromosis
you guys really are making this worse by cleaning out every single retailer every time there's a hint of a shortage you make them extremely happy and you make them order more batches

xeeeej
I don't even think this is a year away from retiring. Have fun with this one. We get it. You don't think anything is retiring ever, and the rest of us are fools for buying anything. As for 10224, I think it will be a good investment once it does retire, whether it be this year or in 2 years. So getting a few now, whether this is near the end or far from it, is not the worst decision I will make today.
asharerin
you guys really are making this worse by cleaning out every single retailer every time there's a hint of a shortage you make them extremely happy and you make them order more batches This is precisely why TLG has instituted bans and controls. The reselling epidemic for this product has really gotten out of control and is without a doubt disrupting supply lines in the USA. This set is scheduled for 2016 yet the noobs come on this site and get the impression it is going this year and soon as a major retailer runs out of stock they all run and buy every retailer out. What is even more bizarre is the mob doesn't focus on the sets that are actually retiring this year lol. I remember a few weeks ago everyone was buying T1 Campers, then the mob moved onto Pet Shop, now I guess TH is the flavor of the week. Sooner or later they might actually stumble upon a set that is retiring this year.

Sauromosis
Let me parse statements made by Lego employees: Lego Shop at Home phone rep: "X is retiring. We're not making any more." What they are thinking: "Lego will be pleased with me for selling so much product. I have no idea whether it's retired." Lego store employee: "I really shouldn't do this but here, you can buy two Tumblers. We have no idea when they will make more" What they are thinking: "Sweet, my store's gonna hit my sale target and blow past it. I know we're getting Tumblers in every few weeks for the next year."
