Buy the fairground mixer instead, it's the next carousel.

And if you buy it now, you get a hot dog cart.  That's like buying a Town Hall and getting a guard shack.

I think the exterior is more important than the interior when it comes to modulars, and TH has a notable one with the sheer height of it, the columns, the bell/clock tower, and the large skylights. I don't think the dull nature of what goes on inside a town hall will have any negative effect on this set.

There's some nice stuff going on with the Town Hall.  But I don't see it as something I'd want to display unless I had a whole town built around it.  In fact, the problem I have with it is that I view it more as a nice parts pack for MOC'ing a more interesting building such as a museum.

One rumor I've heard (ok, fine, one rumor I just made up) is that the Town Hall is being retired early to make way for the new, grittier and more realistic, Militarized Town Hall.  It comes with a crumbling faux brick facade, an assortment of graffiti gang tag stickers you can paste all over the outside according to your personal loyalties, concrete anti-car bomb blast barriers for the front entrance, and a guard shack with sandbags manned by Bad Cop-style SWAT guys with automatic weapons.  It will be part of the new Urban Blight sub-theme for the City series, inspired by parental complaints that the current modular line reflects an unrealistic nostalgia for the America of the 1950's...

I can't wait for the new "No-Knock Warrant" set. Comes with a shot dog, a baby injured by a flash bang and a warrant for suspected pot possession.

Aren't town hall marriages because you're only meant to get married in a church once

Churches are only for religious marriages, and also only for some of them. Do get legally married you still need the "town hall".

Anyone pairing this set with the dalorean?

lol, Ciglione did suggest the same thing some while ago (in the same thread I guess...)

so there might be people ;-) but somebody pointed out that there will be no real deal in it.

Sounds like a Lego IDEAS project for sure.  Maybe it could be bundled with the Highway Checkpoint playset.  It's never too early to train your kids to say "Yes, sir!" and prostrate themselves before authority figures.

I just sold a Town Hall on Ebay, but the buyer has 76 reviews but none within the last year so he has a 0% in the last year. Is it safe to ship this large order to him or is it possible this is a scammer and if so what do I do about it? I was not sure where else to post this.

I would probably move forward if it were me.

Take pics of everything. I even take a pic when I'm at FedEx. Sounds kinda silly, but never had an issue so far.

So long as you get signature confirmation, you're probably fine.  Note this is essentially impossible with a foreign shipment using USPS.  Express Mail says they will get a signature viewable online, but in my experience that is basically never true.  So if the buyer's in the US, I'd ship the set, and not worry about it.  If he's foreign, at this point, I'd still ship the set, but then I'd worry about it until the 45-day dispute window had elapsed -- I can't wait for the new 180-day PayPal dispute window to take effect!
