tmock12
Ah.. So now the clue points to Simpson house retiring.. Sneaky! LOL, I feel bad for Ed. He can't say anything around these message boards without someone thinking it's a hint. Guy never gets a break.

cladner
Interesting. It sounds like you may have a feeling about one and are about to drop a unique hint. Does anyone else feel like marcandre and valencariac and are turning their town halls into Red 5, Sea Cow or another set? It is an intriguing thought about turning 10 town halls into 20 or so Sea Cows. I still am thinking the town hall may turn a better return in 2 to 3 more years than a sea cow but now you have me questioning that I should save a couple of town halls and flip and move on at $500 each. its a lot more work to flip a town hall into something else, hope it retires, flip that, hope it retires, and hope that those appreciate rather than just sitting on a set you know is going to be a top performer over the next 5 years. sometimes making a lot of money is really as boring as doing nothing but waiting. doesn't feed that addictive buzz of hunting chima on clearance, or the unbridled childhood lust of dozens of new boxes of LEGO being delivered or that new box smell. my overall investing/business goal is to do as few transactions for as much money as possible. TH fits in nicely with that plan. there's too big potential for seller's regret with this one when you have to sit back and come up with justifications to yourself why you sold a TH at 500 when they break through the $600, $700, $800 level much quicker than you thought it would. what other set or combo of sets is going to give you this type of return this quickly? TH is the dream investor scenario - a modular retiring with little warning out of order. the party is just getting started.
