alexgadd01 Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Hi all, Another new member here, from The Netherlands, although I am British by birth Ive been building and buying Lego for the last 20 years, although perhaps rather stupidly not as investments until very recently. My childhood was spent building awesome Technic Models, but in the last 7 years I have expanded my horizons a little with some city and modular building sets. This looks like a great, active community and I am looking forward to getting stuck in. Here are my modular sets, just missing this years Parisian Cafe and the original 10190! I do kick myself slightly for all the great sets I have walked by in the stores over the last few years and not picked up as investments!!! My latest experiment is some vintage stuff from the 80s, a little nervous to see if I can flip them for a profit...! 3 Quote
MartinP Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Welcome to Brickpicker!! Great pictures of the modulars and all your vintage Lego sets. Quote
@rtisan Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Some really great stuff you have there! I especially like the modulars in that particular corner layout. Welcome to the forums! Quote
Bernard74 Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Welco e to the site! As for looking for good deals in the Netherlands: I and a few others post them from time to time. I can recommend brickwatch.nl as a good comparison site. In general, the European amazon sites are often the cheapest way to go. However the A-tembo shops in Delft and Breda are also a good place to shop. Happy hunting! Quote
alexgadd01 Posted February 23, 2014 Author Posted February 23, 2014 hi, yes, amazon.fe often have some good deals, but delivery can be a pain/impossible. Im in the area of Roermond. There is a store called steengoed in Venlo, but their prices are very ' ambitious'. Thanks for the tip with brickwatch Quote
allen9917 Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Impressive. Did you buy those vintage sets in the 80's? Unless they can bring ridiculous profit now why not just keep them. Must be a lot fun memory... Quote
marcandre Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Great pics, I had that airport when I was a kid. Welcome! Quote
