DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 I like them. Short and sweet. IN reality, the smaller version of the Falcon and ISD (the MIDIs) did pretty well. I could see the Falcon. I don't like the ISD - not much detail since the guy is sitting in front of the most detailed part. Edit: Take that back - only the falcon did well. But I could see it being a sleeper. Quote
gregpj Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Some day, that cockpit brick on the MF mini will be worth a good chunk of change unless they release it in another set. Quote
seapotato Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 I would buy one or two to display at my desk at work. Haven't seen them anywhere in Canada though. Sent from my iPod touch using Brickpicker Quote

They are different and cute. Another very collectible and affordable STAR WARS LEGO set. Quote
Piece_Out_Studios Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Personally, I hate all of them except for the Star Destroyer and Millennium Falcon. They are somewhat true to the original vehicles, and the Falcon comes with a Han Solo, so for people who want a new Han it's a great set. I hope they make more like that, because the minifigures do sell the sets. Give people a red Jedi Interceptor with Obi-Wan, and it will sell like crazy. It has potential, but not enough driving force at the moment. Investment wise, hold off before doing something drastic. Inevitably, there will be a sale on some if not all of these, so IF you want to make an investment, wait until then. Quote
hepcatpunk Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 These are fun. Good B-day gifts and conversation starters to sit on your desk at work. Those conversations will more than likely paint you as a dork, but hey, if the shoe fits.. 3 Quote
krayzie Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 They need a mini Malevolence with general grevious. Quote
Piece_Out_Studios Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 I haven't seen any of the new SW sets locally... Probably a good thing though as I really want the new AT AT. At this rate, we will be getting our Summer release Star Wars sets by February of next year. But seriously, why the huge change in the release dates? I understand Marvel since most Marvel movies come out in April/May, but why Star Wars and half of DC Comics? Quote
Grolim Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 I'm not a fan. I too don't like how the minifig is designed to sit on the vehicle. It's just weird. If the figure was separate it may be a little better. I also think most of the builds aren't up to the same standard as previous mini-build sets. If I wanted a MF on my desk I'd choose the 4488. But I guess for the cheaper price and the general consumer being unaware of previous sets they might do ok. 1 Quote
TheOrcKing Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 I like them. And here the conversation should have ended. Cut, print, done. Ha. 1 Quote
exciter1 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 I think they are weird and I don't like them that much. I didn't care for the planet series that much either, but I picked them up at discount. With that being said, I think I can clear about 25% profit if I sell all my planet series stuff right now, so why am I complaining? Quote
remy1492 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Me and the kids love em. Handling a huge mf or tie fighter is inpossible for little hands to plau with. Ive been wishing for these a long time and plan to seriously load up at 50% off. Not everybody can afford a big mf nor can kids use it. But a hand size kit for $10 with a legit figure? Perfect for home. Travel. Gifts. Quote
Guest TabbyBoy Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 They need a mini Malevolence with general grevious. I hope not, even the 9515 appears worthless. Quote
Sandwraith Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 If I wanted a MF on my desk I'd choose the 4488. I've thought about taking the cockpit piece and just putting it on this one! i have the 4488 (mind you not in the best of condition) but i was always put off a bit by it due to the lame cockpit piece. I may try taking some parts from the micro fighter one and putting them on this one to add a bit more detail. Quote

635-ukk Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 They also kind of remind me of Mario Kart. I like the Millennium Falcon best. 1 Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 They remind me of Mario Kart for some reason. Probably because of the ad ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBWcpeAczsQ Quote
TheOrcKing Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Probably because of the ad ?Haha, wow. They really do come across like the Star Wars answer to Mario Kart much like the PS2 game "Super Bombad Racing". 2 Quote

I like the microfighters. Can't wait for the micro slave 1 and sith infiltrator. Quote
siulon Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 They remind me of Mario Kart for some reason. I like how the minifigure can sit in the vehicle, just like mario cart! 1 Quote
kunfuzd Posted March 2, 2014 Author Posted March 2, 2014 The 5-year old likes 'em! Me too! As for investing, I'll wait for awhile... Quote
Studebricker Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I think these are cool too, but not sure when the Slave 1 and Sith Infiltrator would be released as micros, when they've already been released as exclusives. That wouldn't make their owners too happy... Quote
