Jeff Mack Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 I don't post much about Duplo sets, but this is a nice set for a nice discount. LEGO Duplo Legoville Deluxe Train Set (5609) 38% Off, only $74.99 (retail 119.99) Quote

But then again who here does? It's a pretty good deal though if you have toddlers. ....Here's a wierd odd topic, just how collectible are DUPLO sets anyway? There isn't much use for them other than infants really. Quote
schmidtywerben Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 I was kind of wondering that myself. I've never even thought of that before, I just tend to skip over them as I see no reason investment with them. Any thoughts? Quote
TheOrcKing Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Any thoughts? Well, I just tried to look though the values of various DUPLO sets and didn't find that much. Overall it barely has an average growth rate of 5.77%. That's wicked low. I understand the idea of "the kids of today will be the investors of tomorrow", but even I do not think 'that generation' will buy baby toys when they are older. Even for the sake of nostaglia. Maybe for their own child, but it's never a good idea to buy a used toy for an infant. If you do, sterilize the holy heck out of it. Otherwise your kid will turn into this! The only real investment I see with these is for passing them down from one generation to the next. Otherwise, not worth the time or space. Quote
