beatpoppa
Q: What intrinsic value bump does being a corner piece add to a Modular set?
GhostDad
Q: What intrinsic value bump does being a corner piece add to a Modular set? I don't think we have enough examples of retired modulars yet to provide a statistically meaningful answer (we only have one retired corner piece, for example). If anything, it seems like Lego overproduces corner pieces (relative to "normal" modulars). Most real city blocks have a ratio of normals to corners of something like 10:1. Lego has now made three corner pieces and five normals (my apologies if I've missed one), so there ought to be more than enough corner pieces to go around, for those looking to build modular neighborhoods. On the other hand, corner pieces might display better on their own, so perhaps they're more widely sought by collectors?

I assume that the reason that lego does corner pieces quite often because when kids and new fans of lego see them they think that just those 3-4 modulars would look great with an end bit, even though there are more end bits out there. mudcatsfan
I thought maybe I hit the jackpot when I found two grand Emporiums in my local Target on the end cap. They don't carry these at my target and the end cap is where they often keep clearance items. I couldn't believe my eyes. Then I saw the red sticker on them, and my excitement grew. Online item it said. Yes!!! often that means a 30% discount, if not more. The item was marked down from...... $226.99 all the way down to $158.99. Targets inflated near end of life system just hosed me. The boxes were trashed and open. No point in getting these when I can get them for less at lego with the bonuses. Oh well. It was at least exciting :)

Flemdog33
I ordered five 7/30 as limit was five. Really hope they come. I'll actually be pissed if they don't. If anyone ordered after that date and received them already please let me know.
legokent
I hope so too. I just started in this Lego investing and if they all get cancelled I will have 0. But what the heck...I can just buy them off Ebay at a premium and hold for the long term.
LegoBuildingMama
Man the big exclusives are dropping like flies. Did everyone switch back to the GE after HH and SC sold out? I really hope this one just stays down; no more revivals!
