ChristopherJB
To be fair to Mr. Sausage, he did list 12 sets. Everyone has their own list. Mine has 100 or so sets on it....LOL True. We can help sausage land the jackpot by putting together a list. need to add something cheap in there like daily bugle and arctic freeze. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker That would be aaawwwwesome! I haven't put together a list for short term flipping. I've been spending my time trolling the threads and playing catch up on what all you peeps already know.
seapotato
So true. The reason why people like speedsausage isn't picking up every GE is probably because the Vancouver market is flooded with Lego. For example, supraboy is based here and he's selling exclusives 25-50 dollars cheaper than Canadian msrp after taxes, so when there's a need we can just buy from him! ChristopherJB
Latest GE went for $240 shipped on eBay. When the retired tag is posted, $300 is guaranteed. Not sure why people would be listing it below MSRP locally when eBay is going way above that. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker
@rtisan
First of all, I posted with tongue firmly planted in cheek, but I also did a poor job of explaining my numbers I didn't mean that a manager had a 45% of knowing whether a set was going EOL or not, only that their info was about 45% more reliable than a baseline random BPer. Ergo+100% would just mean they were twice as likely to be correct--not that they were 100% likely to be correct--so +45% isn't really that much. Just knowing more about the in-store selling patterns gives them an edge. I also didn't say that they were +45% over the strongest BPers. The high-rollers around here probably get +200% or more. :-) Wasn`t really responding directly to your comment, mainly to the point that was raised from it. In any case, sometimes it`s hard to detect humour from text, and hopefully there was some seen in mine. I try to use the Smiley`s for this reason. So no worries, I could tell something similar to what you meant originally. Cheers!

legodelorean
Will Lego stores in different states ship to you if you are from another state? Is it free? I really want a GE but they all out in my area.
legodelorean
Agreed, super heroes should be high on the list. AA and power lex should be loaded up. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Do you think Power Lex at $15 is a good deal? I haven't seen anything better around.
ChristopherJB
Do you think Power Lex at $15 is a good deal? I haven't seen anything better around. Don't want to digress too much but $15 is a pretty sweet deal. Cheapest was $15 at target before red card. I think it was once sold for $12 but that was ages ago. Amazon still has it for $15. Don't wait too long. Wonder Woman is unique an you get superman the original version. I'm not a fan of lex luthur though. If the wolverine chopper was any indication, you can imagine this one. Get the arctic batman while you're at it. Three exclusive minifigs, it's going to do well after EOL. I've read that some people got the Lex for $12, but I haven't seen it that low and $15 does seem like a pretty sweet deal. The Arctic Batman was another set I was going to pick up, but that one is only at $17.99 on Amazon and I was going to wait for a bigger discount. I don't want to miss the boat though. Has Aquaman and Mr. Freeze never been in a set before this one?

I got 10 at $11.95. Just remember that the wolverine chopper got hot because of Deadpool. Wolverine is in a new set and that may have dropped the price of the chopper. I can't see a release of another aquaman once that's done and no more white batmans. These three sets are all great investments so even at MSRP, you still win. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Isn't the Wolverine in the new set different? I thought the color scheme was different or something. I guess that is something to consider....you need to know what sets are coming up next to see if they will have the same type of figs so you can unload them if they will be released again and hurt the value of a set you may have. johnwray
I'm going to guess its because not too many people are high on that set. Refer back to the thread from a week or two ago, talking about 2014's biggest flops. My son has a Sea Cow, and it's freaking amazing. In my top five all-time favorite sets for sure.
