seapotato Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 2-1 canada. I would be upset if Canada lost lol. Quote
Grolim Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Can't be bothered finding and linking it but if you want a good laugh search for David Attenborough commentating the Curling, it's great stuff. Quote
weakside Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 awesome women's hockey game... very dramatic... feel badly for US with only 3mins left (don't remind me about leafs vs Bruins) but Canadians didn't give up. great goal tending and lucky bounces... how the heck did that puck hit the post instead of going in for empty net. maybe Poulin can dress up for the men's team tomorrow haha. sid really needs to step up. the Americans are favourites, hopefully it will be an exciting game. 635-ukk Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Wow that was an epic comeback by the ladies this morning... one of the most improbable wins I've ever seen (sorry Americans... couldn't resist). Looking forward to some more ski cross and the men's semis. I obviously want Canada to win but my guess is 3-1 US for tomorrow. Canada just hasn't been able to produce on offense, we almost lost to Latvia of all places lol. Predictions anyone? I think the U.S. wins 3-2. Quote
glenbart Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I just switched on the tv and the bloody curling is on again, this is the most boring of any event yet the BBC show it all the time. GBR are losing 5-1 to Canada. I'm sick of watching this crap, I hope Canada win. How is this an olympic event??? Quote

The problem with curling is that it's meant to be a social rather than competitive event... similar to bowling in that respect. Definitely very tedious a lot of the time. Quote
gregpj Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Had to share.. Go Canada Go! Edit: oops, forgot to attach the picture. Quote
seapotato Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Curling is actually quite an interesting and fun sport because it is all about strategy. It does look boring if you don't know what is going on though. Sent from my iPod touch using Brickpicker Quote

gregpj Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 oh come on) It was a great game an as I said earlier I like them both) Haha, yes it was. Despite my obvious bias to cheer for Canada, I usually prefer these games as they are more exciting than watching the European teams. No offense to our overseas members, but you guys just don't usually play very exciting hockey at the "world" level. Quote
