help with these blue pieces

Anyone know what these go to?  They have lego etched in the bottom, but no numbers!!post-11416-0-72651800-1391101490_thumb.j

As the other two pointed out, the oldest & first train sets Lego released had blue tracks for whatever reason. I wonder if making the tracks colored blue was just easier for them instead of doing so in gray or some other color, or maybe they simply thought the setup looked better (more toylike) that way?

I've got about a gazillion of them, but half are ridged like Tonysbricks showed and the other half are smooth like M4x18 linked to (also have those old school red wheels).  Must have a small train set in there somewhere and then the expansion set!  Now just gotta find out which one of those 23 sets it's from  :wacko: The lego sets in this latest lot I bought span nearly 50 years, it has to be multi-generational!
