exciter1 Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 There's still tons of them out there. I still see them in the stores and at Legoland. Pricing on these won't pick up until these dry up. And I don't see TLG going back to $3 for these. Not with Series 12 coming at $4. I'll be buying them at $3 or less. Quote
GhostDad Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Too bad. I always thought it was a 1 year license. This would mean that TLG can continue producing Simpsons houses too and that makes it lesser of an investment to me.. But in theory, this could also mean an expansion of the structure? Nuke plant, treehouse, krusty burger... meh.. it's all good news. I'm not worried about the $200 never-discounted exclusive Simpsons houses. That's a pricey way to get the figures. And the LEGO Movie CMF series seems to do fine, even when you can get the main characters (especially Emmet and Wyldstyle) in lots of other inexpensive sets (Emmet and Wyldstyle can be had, along with another minifig, in a $12.99 MSRP set that of course includes ~100 pieces too). I would be more concerned about smaller, non-exclusive Simpsons sets that reproduced the minifigs from the CMF series. I still wonder about the folks selling the full set of 16 for $55 with free shipping. Once they pay eBay/PayPal fees and 1st class postage, they're down to around $46. That's about $2.88 per figure, so for them to have any profit at all they had to buy them for less than that. I have never, ever seen these for under $3 (barring the obvious coupons/gift cards/whatever, and if you have those, there are less time-intensive ways to use them than assembling these sets by hand). Maybe they're just bad at math, but... Quote
TheOrcKing Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Just when we thought we were done collecting Simpsons Minifigures... The Brick Fan is reporting that a EuroBricks member is reporting that David Thomson is reporting that the Simpsons minifigures will return for wave 2 in 2015. via The Brick FanWell I guess if Lego will continue selling the house for another year then why not make another series? At least my wallet is grateful for yet another series I plan to not purchase. These Minifigures may be small but collecting them is more costly than buying a full sized set with actual bricks and stuff. Quote
Neosphinx Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Too bad animals are not counted as minifigs. Would have loved Santa's Little Helper and Snowball II. Quote

Sauromosis Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Cheapest place to get one? Best to keep sealed or pair up as in cladner's example? Quote
ravenb99 Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Just wait. Some lego outlets have as much as 80 cases in the stockroom and they are not selling. Same with simpsons house. I used to buy all the box damage ones with the bonus pts and promos and there never ending. If there not selling at that price which amounts to about 155 after the extra points and poly I think there definitely heading down before up. Not saying they wont long term but something that you should see a better price on later on 1 Quote
Sauromosis Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 What if they stop production in December? Still something to wait on? And how does one find a lego outlet with damaged boxes? =) Quote
jerryherb Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 As with every minifig run they will be out of production sooner than later. I got 5 complete sets and addtional 5 pairs of I&S. All bags sealed. No sealed case. These will probably slowly appreciate. Not expecting a huge return but steady growth and easy shipping down the road. Quote
inversion Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I just got one sealed case in LEGO shipping box a few days ago for ~$170. I don't know if it will be worth it in the EU in the long run, since The Simpsons has been and will always be an American show. Quote
justapilgrim Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Pretty sure the announced a series 2 of Simpsons mini figs, that will both bump price in first series as well as hasten it's retirement Quote
Veegs Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Pretty sure the announced a series 2 of Simpsons mini figs, that will both bump price in first series as well as hasten it's retirement Link? If there is for sure going to be a second series, I'd be quite a bit more inclined to invest in series 1... Quote
Neosphinx Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Can not hurt to invest in 1 sealed box tho Quote

Ciglione Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 I just noticed the Simpsons minifigures are "Call to check availability" at the German ShopatHome. Quote
BrickLegacy Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Price is back to $248 for anyone still interested in grabbing a sealed case. Quote

Veegs Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 rumors of a second simpsons minifigure set on this 2015 rumored sets link: http://www.neoape.com/rumored-lego-2015-sets-roundup/ Thanks...I had seen most of the leaked stuff before, wasn't aware of Simpsons series 2. Double VIP with a bonus set is a good time for me to grab from S&****. Quote
BrickLegacy Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Price is back down to the original $239 mark. A very tempting investment that does not requires minimal shelf/storage space. 1 Quote
mscheaf Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 What are the chances of these sealed boxes hitting $500 or more eol? Quote
stackables Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 What are the chances of these sealed boxes hitting $500 or more eol? I say between 0 and 0. Quote
chinothegeeko Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 What are the chances of these sealed boxes hitting $500 or more eol? I'd say maybe $400 max but you will have to wait. Plus it's still up in the air if they are doing another series. Quote
