Legodog Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I'm happy to announce I have joined the 1000+ LEGO sets club today (1005 to be exact). Not sure if there is such a thing but if there is I am now a part of it. 3 Quote
nolanfan34 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Congrats! How small do you count something as a set? I was trying to decide whether a polybag counts or not. Quote
TheOrcKing Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Hey, congratulations! You're a middleweight investor/hoarder now! Quote
Veegs Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Hey, congratulations! You're a middleweight investor/hoarder now! We should have a designated classification system to gauge your investment commitment. Any I don't think polys should count. Anything in a box? Quote
@rtisan Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Congratulations! The 1000 mark is impressive no matter how you look at it. Congrats! How small do you count something as a set? I was trying to decide whether a polybag counts or not. Ya, trying to figure that out myself. I`ve got quite a few polybags in the brick folio that I`d like to count, but not sure if they are to be considered a standard set. Maybe 1/2 a set. I`ll add 2 to get one set. Quote
Migration Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Why shouldn't poly's count? A set is a set is a set. Don't discount them just because they are small. I've sold many boxed sets for less than some of the poly's I've sold. Count 'em. Oh and congrats on 1000. Maybe we should have a 1000 set user award. Quote
TheOrcKing Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I will confess that I count polybags and Collectable Minifigures as 'sets'. I mean, why not? :pardon: 1 Quote
MartinP Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Congrats on getting 1,000 sets. I have a long way to go to get to 1,000. Currently, around 150 sets. Quote
Anakinisvader Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Congrats on your hoardedom. (wait that sounds bad) Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I'm happy to announce I have joined the 1000+ LEGO sets club today (1005 to be exact). Not sure if there is such a thing but if there is I am now a part of it. Awesome! I was counting the other day. I have: 375 investment sets 50 sets built 122 to build (yikes) And the equivalent of about 200 or so for my Ebay store. It looks like a mountain. Don't know how much more I could do without a storage unit. lol. Quote
Ed Mack Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 1000 sets is a serious collector in my book. Quote
cissi Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I didn't know there's such a club!!! lol I need to go count to see if I'm eligible. Quote
Legodog Posted January 23, 2014 Author Posted January 23, 2014 I have very few polybags. Maybe 20 or so total. I have another 30 sets to still enter in to my Brickfolio so I should still be over 1000 without the polybags. Quote
cissi Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I just checked my brickfolio. Though not have I entered every set I have, I think I'm still way below 1000 sets. lol Quote
nico1 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Congratulations, and even more impressive is that you are part of the half million+ bricks club! Quote
Guest eightbrick Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Excellent. Now then, give me your address. Quote
Doofy McGee Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Nice job Legodog! This is even more prestigious than joining the Mile High Club. I think I am hovering around 400-500, and they take up an awful lot of space. I can't even imagine what 1,000 looks like! I am picturing a house full of Lego sets, where there are only narrow pathways cleared for the purpose of navigating the house. Quote
Guest brickcrazyhouse Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 pics or it didn't happen. kidding but please and congratulations Quote

Migration Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Crazy, it's a smaller stash than I imagined it would be. Still impressive though. Quote
Legodog Posted January 24, 2014 Author Posted January 24, 2014 I have a lot of stuff in boxes in the basement too. Just doesn't look as fun since it is just a big stack of cardboard boxes. Quote
