Found an out-of-the-way Books-A-Million today that had 1 copy of Fallingwater - thoroughly dented up and pancaked - for list $100.  They also had a couple Farnsworth (in good condition) at $60.  I could use my 10% off, and a 10% off giftcard...  but should I buy the Fallingwater that badly damaged?   I'm new to architecture... aren't Architecture buyers a bit more OCD about the condition of the boxes?  In that state, I figure it would only fetch "used" value, don't you think?  Should I just buy the Farnsworth... or buy them both?

I would buy as others have said. Still super high on this one, I have 5 which is a lot for me on a set of that price, and I'm holding them all long term. Still think this gets to $300 easily in a few years.

I would absolutely buy at 10+10% off list price. This one will be a winner. Just need it to fully flush out from all the hole in the wall retail locations.

Box condition is fine so long as the seals are there, and even if they're not, if you can show sealed bags and a nice mint condition instructions booklet you should be good to go. These sets are meant to be built it seems (even by those paying 2-4x retail), so the buyers care less about the box.

Here in germany the price  is still only 6% above MSRP. Dont know if it will be a winner here..

It just retired. Have to be patient. I think a year from now or certainly by Christmas 2016 it will have solid growth.

Yes, this set has potential but its main problem has been the long production life. There are still plenty kicking around in shops too, so until that supply dries up there is nothing to see here.

Sets such as Burj Khalifa and Farnsworth are doing well after more than a year´s retirement but they had half the life of ESB and FW so  similar growth is unlikely for a good few years.

Not sure how they are doing in UK but in the US they are already selling about 30% over RRP on average.  I know many bought these at deep discounts around here, but buying now at RRP should net a decent profit if held for a year or two.

For your own build - why not? As an investment, no.

For your own build - why not? As an investment, no. Mine cost between 45 and 70 euros so you are going to either sell cheap or have to wait till everyone else unloads. At least, with Architecture there are no remakes.

After a steady climb since EOL, the amazon buy box is now at $200.

I built a used one a couple weeks ago and greatly enjoyed it. It felt like a more special set than the new models with the wire bound instruction manual. I think this one has room above 200, but I'm expecting it to stick there until holiday.

I am curious for opinions what this might be selling for in a year or so.  The Lego Store in Jakarta has 8-10 of these at about 92 USD. Want to pull the trigger but blew my budget buying Series 2 Mixels they clearanced at 2.50 USD.

Found about 12-15 of these lying around in my local lego store in Singapore. Should I be wiping them clean? Going for about $125 usd each

Turns out that I got the price wrong. There was a 30% discount on all the sets, so each FW was selling for about $74 usd. Thats 26% off US rrp!

There were abt 20 sets in total, so i wiped all of them

Woo! Just topped $200 on Amazon from a 3PS. Love it. A shame I only have two, but I think I'm going to hang on to them a while.  I'd probably have more if I had a B&N closer to my home.
