purpleparadox Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Awesome deal! Thanks for sharing. I knew waiting for a sale on this one would pay off! Quote
mmatthie Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Even better $60.99 9473 at Overstock.com Quote
Doofy McGee Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 I like to check Amazon prices a couple times a day to make sure I am not missing out on big sales. I have a list of sets I want, and I buy them whenever I see a price that is too good to pass up. I still haven't gotten the Mines of Moria because Amazon doesn't seem to stock it. Any ideas why this would be? It's a new enough set in a popular line, I can't imagine why they wouldn't have it. Quote

Doofy McGee Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Perhaps I should clarify...I know it can be purchased on Amazon, but not directly from Amazon as the vendor. Quote
Jeff Mack Posted October 10, 2012 Author Posted October 10, 2012 Amazon has had low prices and deals on this set for a long time. I have posted it many times before. Do you have any idea when the last time you saw noticed it was available from them. Has it only been a few days or has it been weeks. Maybe they got cleaned out during the good sales last week? Walmart has a great price right now, only $61.91 with 97 cent shipping. Thats a good deal! Quote
Doofy McGee Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Amazon has been out for at least a few weeks now. When I buy from Amazon, I only buy if the vendor is Amazon. I have grown wary of other sellers because I don't want to risk getting dinged up or smashed boxes. Odds are, I will end up going with Walmart or Target if need be. The real meaning of my question though, was more the curiosity of why they don't have it. It just seems like an odd thing that it's been out of stock for so long. Quote
Jeff Mack Posted October 14, 2012 Author Posted October 14, 2012 Amazon had this set earlier today for $60.00. It has since sold old. It is available at Target right now for $61.99. Still as great deal at over 20% off. Quote
Doofy McGee Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Thanks for the heads up Jeff. That is a good deal, probably the best price we'll see for quite a while. Quote
Jeff Mack Posted October 25, 2012 Author Posted October 25, 2012 Big price drop on the Mines of Moria #9473. I think this is the lowest I have seen it so far. 26% off!! Click here to get this deal! Quote
Doofy McGee Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 This is an awesome deal for sure! I would scoop this up in a heartbeat if I hadn't just spent all my money on a Tower Bridge. No regrets! Quote
hxckid88 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 I got one for 50.00 at walmart and one at 40.00 at a target in the middle of nowhere. stoked. Quote
Veegs Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Grrr...curse me for spending time away from deal-finding! I've been waiting for a nice discount like this. Quote
Rich B Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Ugggh I keep on missing these deals....... 0-2 between last night and this morning on 4842 and Mines of Moria Quote
exciter1 Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 I picked up a Mines of Moria last night for $39.98 and a Forest Police Station for $55.98, so some deals are still out there. Quote
dehydr8ed Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Just found Forest Police Station for $57.99 on Mechtoys, as well as Mines of Moria for $59.99. http://www.mechtoy.com/LEGO-City-Police-Forest-Station-4440?language=en¤cy=USD&gclid=CN_og5Cu7rQCFQioPAodgCUACA Never ordered from them... Price seems good so I may give it a shot. Quote
IrishGuy66 Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 I found this epic Lego gateway to Moria on the Internet. It beats the crap out of the overpriced official Mines of Moria. I would never buy that set in a million years. Quote
jmpkcp Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Can't really see it. Doesn't really get any bigger when you click the thumbnail. Quote
IrishGuy66 Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Can't really see it. Doesn't really get any bigger when you click the thumbnail. Oh.... it doesn't. Well that sucks. I got it off of yahoo pictures, so..... I'm not surprised. Disappointed, yes. Surprised, not so much. Quote
Darth Lego Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Oh.... it doesn't. Well that sucks. I got it off of yahoo pictures, so..... I'm not surprised. Disappointed, yes. Surprised, not so much. Yea, Yahoo sucks. Go Google! (: Quote
redeemed763 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I have picked up two Goblin King Battles and a mines of moria and would like to have several more of each to hold onto if they are worth having, we have a toy store in town with both sets for $65 at the moment. However, both of these sets seem like potential duds to me, except for the exclusive characters, I am not seeing a huge value to them. For this price, are they worth getting? The way I see it, if the set is a dud, getting it for cheap isn't really a good reason to get it, I'd rather spend the money on a full priced set that goes like a hot cake in a couple years than cheap set that might fetch retail price later on. On the other hand, I am a fan of LOTR like many of you are fans of SW and the sets are a dream come true for me so I don't want to miss out on any opportunities with them. Quote
