MartinP Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Very cool idea. I will be working on which sets I would like to pick. Quote
Legodog Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 2X Unimog (8110) $385.46 5x Vampyre Castle (9468) $495.65 3x Batwing (6863) $106.32 Total $987.43 Quote
nolanfan34 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 All, you can stop, I already sent in the winner. Also, thanks for the clarification on USD as the standard for the entries. I have friends in the UK I could ship to, would love to use some of the goofy prices in the price guide if I could. :-) Quote
Busch97racing Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I'm in on this game. I'll take 5 Unimogs (8110) x 192.73 = 963.65 1 Batwing (6863) x 35.44= 35.44 Total = $999.09 Quote
Jojoyojimbi Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 since the 21021 Marina bay sands has no value, can i use the retail price of $70 USD each and buy enough to equal $1000? Quote
tonysbricks Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Ill take 61x 9469 Gandalf Arrives @ 16.38 each for a total of 999.18. 2 Quote
Grolim Posted January 22, 2014 Author Posted January 22, 2014 Plenty of entries while I was sleeping: (4) 9476 (4) 9471 (2) 6860 (3) 6866 (2) 6868 (1) 9468 Lets try this then....... That works. Doesn't work out. There is no exchange rate conversion allowed. Price for 6858 is $19.36 and 10230 is $96.78. Please resubmit. Not part of my current collection, but based upon the 6 month time frame: 10 X 9449-1: Ultra Sonic Raider: $641.30 5 X 70006-1: Cragger Quote
Jojoyojimbi Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Since there's no brickpicker value for 21021 I'll take an infinite amount of them then Quote
Guest TabbyBoy Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 OK, make that 10x 10230 and 1x 6858 for $987.16? Keep the $12.84 as commission! Quote
c4dreams Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 (edited) My picks: 10X Vampyre Castle (9468) + 1 Emerald Express 10194 Edited January 22, 2014 by c4dreams 1 Quote
tonysbricks Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Since there's no brickpicker value for 21021 I'll take an infinite amount of them then They closed that loophole Sets must have a minimum of 10 sets sold on Ebay over the last year to be eligible Quote
Legodog Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 My picks: 10X Vampyre Castle (9468) + 1 Emerald Night 10194 You only have $1000. You will have to change it so they will accept your entry. Quote
Jojoyojimbi Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 They closed that loophole well that's the set that i'd choose to invest in so what am I supposed to do Quote
nolanfan34 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 well that's the set that i'd choose to invest in so what am I supposed to do lol, what would you do in real life if you couldn't find the set you wanted? Actually, it is weird that there is no data for this set. There are plenty of sold 21021's on eBay, averaging $150-$200 USD. EDIT: OK, maybe not plenty, but I see a few sold ones. Seems like they should register here...might not be 10 though... Quote
Grolim Posted January 22, 2014 Author Posted January 22, 2014 I just upped the prizes a bit. Wow! Thanks Ed, very generous of you! 26 entries so far Quote

Keep the $12.84 as commission! That works. Thanks. Entry Confirmed. Total Investment = $987.16 Good Luck! Please invest my commission in the scheme developed by my good friend Nigel Siladu from Nigeria, we'll be come rich together! My picks: 10X Vampyre Castle (9468) + 1 Emerald Express 10194 Vampire Castles are fine. The Emerald Express, which I assuming you mean set 31015 has no market value yet. Want to add something else? Actually, it is weird that there is no data for this set. There are plenty of sold 21021's on eBay, averaging $150-$200 USD. EDIT: OK, maybe not plenty, but I see a few sold ones. Seems like they should register here...might not be 10 though... Yeah that might be a weird one. Submit an email about it using the link on the page and Jeff will look into it. For now it's off the contest picks Quote

nolanfan34 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 This thread is great. Love seeing the pics come in. Plus, even if my picks are totally wrong I hopefully have a few of the sets that do win. Everyone wins all around! :-) Quote

Grolim Posted January 22, 2014 Author Posted January 22, 2014 21104 Mars Curiosity Rover -- $29.99ea x33 total $989.67 Sorry, no that entry violates 2 rules. Set must have had 10 sales in the Ebay data in the last year, and set prices are current market price not retail. Quote
