theplasticmanor Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I have been talking to someone on craigslist for awhile and i received these pictures of a huge lot of mostly star wars sets. Hard to tell based on the photo quality but it appears to be mostly star wars. She said all instructions are there and figures but no boxes. Anybody have any idea on what to offer her? 1 Quote
lego rules Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I would ask them to name a price or list out the set#'s so you can plug them in into the lot calculator. Then you at least know MV. What you offer will depend on what return you expect. Quote
Bold-Arrow Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Other than the little girl I see no minifigures..hard to tell from the pics if sets are complete. Maybe 700 ish? Quote

LOL girl not included. She said sets are complete however that doesnt mean much. The only sets she listed are Death Star, R2-D2, and Millenium Falcon. She said all the figures are present. Quote

You never know what peices might be missing even when the seller has the best of intentions. Some might be pricey to replace.I would ask for better pictures preferably close ups and a pic of the minifigs with the accessories. If both of you are comfortable with the idea of you going to take a look at them in person then more power to you. There is good money in buying used sets then flipping them if that is your intention . If you intend to keep them then you can probably afford to go a bit higher Quote
theplasticmanor Posted January 21, 2014 Author Posted January 21, 2014 Agreed on $500. I feel like even if there are things missing, The value of the death star, R2-D2, and Falcon alone should be worth the $500. I will update once I get the loot. Quote

hepcatpunk Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Awesome score at 500. I'd keep R2 for myself and sell the rest and still make off very well . Congrats! Quote
theplasticmanor Posted January 21, 2014 Author Posted January 21, 2014 I've always wanted a Death Star so I think I may keep it Quote
theplasticmanor Posted January 30, 2014 Author Posted January 30, 2014 Just as an update. I bought everything and was pleasantly surprised to find all sorts of gems. about 30 total SW sets and attached is what I found in a bag. Total of 265 SW figures. There was also a bag of about 100 misc figures which were mostly spongebob and toy story. Definitely happy with the purchase thanks for all the advice! Quote
