That is retail price I believe. I tried ordering the Captain America set earlier and it immediately canceled them and then went OOS on the website. I was able to order 4-5 of the Star Wars sets before they disappeared. Nothing has canceled them yet.
dibole
I'm pretty sure that the retail price for Hulk Lab Smash is 69.99 but I could be wrong. Only 398 pieces but a lot of awesome minifigs

Only 398 pieces but a lot of awesome minifigs I haven't seen 69.99 anywhere. Brickset and Brickipedia both have 49.99. I don't really know how correct they are 2 months in advance though. dibole
49.99 would be really cheap for this set. considering the minifigs. hulk $25. Thor exclusive. Modok new mold probably worth a lot. Falcon very popular. Taskmaster, popular spiderman villain. All of these are great figures. 49.99 would be a very good deal.
dibole
plus with discounts and sales, it could go too 35-40 dollars.
zskid00
6868 was 389 pieces with a Hulk figure and retailed for $49.99. This one is very similar so I would expect the same MSRP for it.
dibole
this one has better figures. Both hulk sets don't have good buildings. This one is definitely better
akohns
This has to be retail for $50. Figs are good but rest of the set is as crappy as 6868.
DoNotInsertIntoMouth
We already know its gonna be a winner though. Set doesn't matter. Too many figures. I am gonna stock the crap out of this set.

What are the chances they'll do a 3rd hulk maxi figure in another two years? Not likely. People won't be caught off guard on this one like they might have on 6868.

The next one will grow a little slower maybe, but there are other exclusive figures in it. It will have a higher ceiling because of that. The set could be a mini figure juggernaut as many of these characters I feel have little likelihood of showing up in lego again.
akohns
Yeah thats true - but I don't think too many people were caught off guard. Maybe the serious people weren't but it was discontinued and within a few weeks it hit $100. Of course it lined up right with Christmas season. But even still... If people had more stockpiled it wouldn't have reached that price so quickly.
zskid00
I highly doubt LEGO will make another Taskmaster, Falcon, or MODOK figure and it's very likely that the classic version of Thor won't be released again, so this set has a lot of potential post retirement. thombockerman
Anyone else wishing they would release a huge helicarrier set? That would be a really sweet looking ship next to my falcons and pirate ships
