Seanoj Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Hi all, I rcently noticed the new Lego Juniors series on the shelves, Batman, "Defend the Batcave" (10672) and Spiderman, "Spider-Car Pursuit" (10665). They look pretty cool, and although in the "juniors" range, considering the cool mini figures, and the interest in super hero sets at the moment, does anyone have any thoughts on whether these might be a good investment or not? This is my first post, and have only been collecting for a month or so, and haven't even listed my inventory yet. Go easy on me.....Lol Thanks in advance, Sean Quote
dibole Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 since you normally can't find it right now, you can buy it and sell it for a quick flip Quote

I haven't even heard of this line of sets. Quote
Migration Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I would not try to hold long term. If you can quickly flip for a margin that you are ok with then have at it. Quote
Seanoj Posted January 20, 2014 Author Posted January 20, 2014 I'm from Australia, We just got a small shipment in some of our stores here in the last week. Not sure why Australia seems to have them first though? Quote
dibole Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 people are selling the juniors batcave on ebay for around $75 Quote
Seanoj Posted January 20, 2014 Author Posted January 20, 2014 It's being sold here at Big W, a retailer for $35, and Target for $40 Quote

Buy to flip it faster than The Flash as all these Junior sets should be available in a month or two to everbody at retail. stinger-311 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Both the superhero sets look great for parting out as the designs for minifigs have not changed. So flip the figs and lego for free. Maybe even some coin too. Quote
dibole Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 buy it, list it online for double (or more) the price. If it doesn't sell within the next month, return it. Quote
Ryount Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 What's everyone's opinion on the LEGO juniors now that they have been around for awhile? It looks like the CAGR values are actually pretty good. Just curious if other members are buying the sets and doing quick flips on them. Thanks Quote
cladner Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 (edited) Not sure about all the Juniors sets, however, Defend the Batcave in particular will do well long term. I parted this one out before xmas for profit and then sold them during xmas last year for $50 (buy in 22.50) when they sold out everywhere. This has the limited retro batman and robin minifigures which are based on the 60's TV series. The only other set that has these minifigures is a rare 2014 san diego comic con set. The Joker minifigure is sort of rare too and sells pretty easy. A few rare bricks and plates on top of the minifigures makes this a parter outer set or long term hold. The minifigures alone were going for $30+ when it first came out. Once it is EOL and a new crop of obsessive collector batman lego freaks come out of their dark ages, they will bid this set up to $75. Small box, easy to ship, takes up little space. What's not to love. LEGO Juniors. Its not Duplo. Edited April 14, 2015 by cladner 2 Quote
redghostx Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Defend the Batcave is a solid set that should produce nice EOL profit. I am less sure about the spidermna/superman sets. Quote
justapilgrim Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 I grabbed about 10-15 of the Spider-Man sets on clearance for $5. Anyone buying to hold them long term will have to compete with other sellers that have low buy in Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Brickpicker mobile app Quote
Dr. Brick Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Batcave is solid at $20 or less. I have about $20 or so and will unload at around $50 in time. You just can't beat the minifigs in this set Quote
biking_tiger Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 (edited) Batcave for the win. Super easy to ship and I was selling them for a tidy profit last Christmas, too. It pays to watch sets when they go TOOS. If there's a bump then, EOL should pay well. Edited April 15, 2015 by biking_tiger Quote
