I taught my son percentages with lego without him even seeing a brick. He knows how to calculate profit on sealed sets lol. 

 

Best way to learn math is with money.

 

When I was 4, my dad took me to the Railroad Museum he worked in. I sold tickets there until I was 11. Math has been my strongest skill ever sense.

Yep!!  Teaching both my boys (4 and 6) math via lego bricks.  More than a toy for sure and their brains are so malleable right now that they just soak it right up :)

for 32nds, just start with 4- 2x4 bricks

 

working with cash is great, always makes me shake my head when you give a cashier $5.15 for a $4.85 purchase and they have no idea what you are doing.....

when I worked for a grocery store there was a part timer who always got confused with basic math skills.  Even better yet her full time job, a teacher.
