chinothegeeko Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Dang Seahawks almost gave me a heart attack! Go Hawks! Any other 12's out there? I thought jaisonline?!? Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 I am a Patriots fan. This actually will be a fun playoffs for me. I want the Pats to win, but don't expect it since they are playing with people off the street at receiver, offensive line, and pretty much every defensive position. So I am relaxed and will just enjoy football. If Pats don't win, I hope the hawks do. I have always liked Russell Wilson and Pete Carrol and I think they are the best team in the NFL. Quote
VaderFan16 Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 If anybody has been keeping an eye on the San Diego Chargers at the end of the NFL season and in last week's playoff appearance, then you know this is a team that is dangerous. Teams should be worried in the playoffs. Quote
nolanfan34 Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Go Hawks! Gave me a heart attack as well. The offense has been the weak link all year, it's like on 3rd down their playbook only has one page in it. Quote

hxckid88 Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 The chargers look very much like the ravens did last year.... Quote
justafrog Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 I had a bad day (Shehawks won, boo!) and a good day (Go Tom Bratty!). Hoping for 9ers win tomorrow, though I like the Panthers just fine and if they beat us, they beat us. As long as someone ultimately beats Seattle, even if it happens in the Superbowl (no excessively loud stadium for them there, so a better chance they'll lose it at that point), I'll be happy enough with the season. We'll see what the NFL decides about divisions - they don't look likely to break up the NFC west in spite of a 12-4 team ending up a Wildcard, which is ludicrous, but they're making noises about the possibility of adding a non-wildcard playoff berth. Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 More teams in the playoffs is a sham. We don't need more teams, we need the best teams. The retarded Division crap is ridiculous. Your divisions should just determine who you play. Reseed for playoffs 1-6 by best record and other tie breakers. Teams like Arizona will make it in and could win it all while teams like GreenBay and Philly wont host playoff games just because they won their crappy division. Also calling it right now - Chargers beat Denver. 1 Quote

HAHA! This reminds me of last week (took the boys to disneyland for the first time) and as we're walking through LAX my youngest (4) says quite loudly "LOOK! There's a dirty whiner!!" (49er in Seattle speak). We've got some family that are die hard 49ers fans so we've got quite a rivalry going on right now...definitely can't wait to see the outcome of tomorrows game. In the Saints defense, it was an absolutely crappy day to be playing football and I'm surprised our power stayed on through the game. Quote
hxckid88 Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Let's work on redoing mlb divisions because it's a mess before we work on the nfl. Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Let's work on redoing mlb divisions because it's a mess before we work on the nfl. What the hell is the MLB? In all seriousness, MLB needs a lot of things. A better salary system, less games, no different rules between different freaking leagues, the one game playoff should be a 3 game (no one gamers in baseball, a game where one play can F everyone), and probably steroids because baseball was more fun then. mikemcd Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 surprised to see the Lego movie ad at 9:30 est during a playoff game. Quote
spener90 Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Packer fan, but I am cheering for the Seahawks with Russell Wilson. I wouldn't mind the Patriots either, just not Manning... 1 Quote

MLb is baseball, you know that thinking mans game. It's like chess. NFL is cool but its for simple minded folk...checkers. Don't get me started on steroids, go watch bigger stronger faster. One of the best documentaries ever made. very good take on our society. Quote

Dbroncoboy Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Go Broncos!! In case you didnt get that from my user name if tomorrow ends like last year I'll likely go in to deep hiding for the next 6 months.... :-( 2 Quote
Curtis Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Also calling it right now - Chargers beat Denver. I'll call it the other way...San Diego players will be on oxygen by the half and Denver wins despite Manning's propensity for post season choking. 1 Quote
