Popular Post brickvoyeur Posted December 7, 2022 Popular Post Posted December 7, 2022 (edited) Quote I'll read the Nightmare Before Christmas story this year, kids. Twas the night before Clearance And all through the aisle Steamrollers were packed Into my cart like a pile Exo Suits were hung In the storage with care Knowing that in a decade They still will be there Sergeant Jyn Erso was nestled Deep under my bed With terrible proportions And a face that looks dead Wonder woman in her armor And cheetah in her cap The lasso of truth will tell you That this set is pure crap When out on my doorstep A noise shook me awake ShopJustice still delivering Olaf Flat as a pancake Faster shipping than FedEx The turds as they came I cried and I pouted As I called them by name "Now, Dots! now, Mario! Now Lego Movie 1 and 2! On, Raiders! on, Mighty Dinos! On, Takodana and constractables too! To the depths of the dumpster! Stacked 50 feet tall Now throw away! throw away! throw away all!" Each year I make efforts To donate a bit more But Toys for tots sends a bill For returning them to my door Since I can't give them away I'll dig a big pit It's the final solution To get rid of this sh!t I shook as I laughed At the thought of relieving this pain It was nearly 3am So I looked quite insane As I poured the kerosene I cheered with delight "I'll light you on fire, So you're out of my sight" Edited December 7, 2022 by brickvoyeur 15 18 Quote
redghostx Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Over the last week, I sold 3 SW 2014 Advent Calendars (for $60-$65), and a set of Bilbo, Gmili and Frodo LOTR keychains for $14. I also sold 8087 Wampa Cave to someone on Bricklink for $27 (it was used and incomplete by two pieces - the Wampa horns). However, he's a newbie on there. And isn't quite grasping the idea of a validated address on Paypal. I won't send it until he does it. I'm almost ready to refund him (we've been going back and forth since Thursday). When I order on PayPal I usually ship to an unconfirmed address (my US residence) and have never had an issue with a seller so perhaps it's worth a shot. Ex Astris, Scientia. Quote

I thought they might grow more, but people pay 60$ish for only the sears tower. Even though the set is the same Different words on the box. Stupid. Quote

Strongsong30 Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 I sold a Harry Potter Knight Bus I bought for $12 for a quick flip of $45 and some loose random parts for $80 (about 9 pounds) not to bad for my first day of vacation Quote
Huskers1236 Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 Sold a 6277 Imperial Trading Post for $229 on ebay. It was in amazing shape. Picked it up locally on Craigslist a few years ago for $25. Hated to see it go, but it wasn't doing any good tucked away in the basement in its box. Quote

Even though the set is the same Different words on the box. Stupid. Not a bad idea. I think this one could reach $50 once the stock keeps drying up. It's an iconic skyscraper. I continued to be pleasantly surprised at the earning potential of Architecture sets. Have you seen Sungnyemun? It's selling for nearly $160 NISB on eBay. I sold two last Christmas (or maybe January) for under $100 and thought I was doing well... Quote
@rtisan Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Uruk Hai Arm`y for $45 U.S., just under $50 Cdn. Not the greatest, but I`ll take it. Only paid $25 + tax and shipping is in addition. Quote
Huskers1236 Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 Castle 7094 and 7091 + extra figures and horses on ebay. $200. Paid $125 for the sets a couple years ago and extra figures were amassed from CL finds and the like. CC bill came today, so it was nice to move this along, wife was a bit surprised at my portion of the bill this month. 1 Quote
@rtisan Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Sold another RI today for $55 U.S. Decided to let 1 more go, will hang onto my last 2 to see if the price goes up. The 2 I already sold paid for both, so the remaining 2 will be all the profit. Quote

No More Monkeys Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Should I be worried too much if someone bought RI from me on amazon, and I am in 105+ price range, I.e. not even first page of sellers? Billing country is AE, shipping to new york, address mentions DBX. Is this military APO forwarding of some sort? Quote

Is this military APO forwarding of some sort? there are way too many new sellers selling RI on amazon as of late, so I wouldnt be worried if a buyer choose your listing.... If Amazon clears the payment then i would ship. if you are too worried about it, u can always cancel the transaction and take a hit on your metrics and risk a -ve fb Quote

But thanks to internet and social media, I can actually see who the buyer is. And AE is probably arab emirates, so must be some forwarding service Quote
