Popular Post brickvoyeur Posted December 7, 2022 Popular Post Posted December 7, 2022 (edited) Quote I'll read the Nightmare Before Christmas story this year, kids. Twas the night before Clearance And all through the aisle Steamrollers were packed Into my cart like a pile Exo Suits were hung In the storage with care Knowing that in a decade They still will be there Sergeant Jyn Erso was nestled Deep under my bed With terrible proportions And a face that looks dead Wonder woman in her armor And cheetah in her cap The lasso of truth will tell you That this set is pure crap When out on my doorstep A noise shook me awake ShopJustice still delivering Olaf Flat as a pancake Faster shipping than FedEx The turds as they came I cried and I pouted As I called them by name "Now, Dots! now, Mario! Now Lego Movie 1 and 2! On, Raiders! on, Mighty Dinos! On, Takodana and constractables too! To the depths of the dumpster! Stacked 50 feet tall Now throw away! throw away! throw away all!" Each year I make efforts To donate a bit more But Toys for tots sends a bill For returning them to my door Since I can't give them away I'll dig a big pit It's the final solution To get rid of this sh!t I shook as I laughed At the thought of relieving this pain It was nearly 3am So I looked quite insane As I poured the kerosene I cheered with delight "I'll light you on fire, So you're out of my sight" Edited December 7, 2022 by brickvoyeur 15 18 Quote
holleman67 Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Haha I know right? I wanted to hold my last one for a bit and so I jacked the price up to hold the posting. I just did this at 4am mind you. I'm baffled. Just got a fraud notification from PayPal to react the funds. I knew it was too good to be true! Quote

naf Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 20 for it now is a great price. You would have to hold it for a long time to see any substantial increase. Ex Astris, Scientia. I agree that is a great price to sell. I don't think it's going to go any higher than that, and will probably go down from there. The main draw with the mini T1 was the officially licensed WV sticker for the front, and the fact that it really does look like a mini T1 camper. I just got done building the big mini and the mini mini, and the small version doesn't look like the big model at all. Also... happy 1000th post to me 2 Quote
MartinP Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Also... happy 1000th post to me Congrats on your 1000th post! I still can't believe how I accumulated 3600+ posts. This site is addicting. Quote

Buyer got her set overnight, shipped within city... left positive feedback already so everyone is happy The Canadian market is different than US and some prefer Amazon.ca vs. com vs eBay. obviously I have to list/charge higher being on Amazon with their higher fees compared to eBay. I don't have to chase after buyers to pay up and no dealing with PayPal issues which I like...the less stress on this hobby the better. the trade off is less exposure/buyers for my inventory. I know a few successful Canadian resellers that sell internationally but just not my cup of tea (at this time anyway). Quote

imirish11 Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Just sold a 3368 City Space Centre again! Same here! After seeing how many times you have sold this set, I was sure to scoop up as many as possible when they were on clearance recently at TRU for $40.50. Out of the 6 I found, I have just 1 left which I will pair with a 3367 and end up with near 100% ROI on my initial $280 investment. Quote

exciter1 Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Deluxe Blue Brick Box - 5508, just flipped in less than 2 weeks. Purchased for $50, sold for $130. 2 Quote
jeff_14 Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Another of my $7 Wolverine Choppers for $70. I'm selling one a week and am going to miss these gems when I'm out. Turns out the buyer works just down the street from my office so I made the drop by the Toronto Skydome in an all cash transaction (no ebay or Paypal fees justifies any walk). Felt like a mafioso standing incognito on the street corner selling something that "fell off the back of a truck". 1 Quote

Huskers1236 Posted July 31, 2014 Author Posted July 31, 2014 Sold a lot of first run LotR sets. Didn't make a killing, but moved them out. I'm losing some of the enthusiasm I had with this line as I think some are going to be dogs somewhat. I still have a bunch of them, but freeing up some cash. Quote

I was out of control buying em up since it is one of my favorite themes but I got more than my own personal fill. Quote
