Party's temporarily over on 70612, Amazon's back in stock at $40. And eBay sellers decided that the set selling for $65-80 was just too much profit and tanked the price to $50.

3 sets appear to be wrong from out German friend´s list; Krennics, U Wing and 21134 Minecraft. They aren´t on the US list either, whereas they do have Heartlake Amusement Rollercoaster and Vacation Getaways. I guess things will eventually work themselves out to parity by the summer.

I seem to recall that 41126 Heartlake Riding Club was also on that famous list, but so far I've not seen this set get the Retiring Soon label in Europe. It is Sold Out in the US though, which could signify an official retirement in 2018. Kinda vague though ...

Regarding Doctor Who ... There are still people here offering it for RRP (€65) at Marktplaats which is deterring me from listing mine. I'd like to get a better profit margin than a mere 30% :P

I sold all but one of mine at just above RRP before the Xmas race to the bottom but buy in was low so still made decent profit. Faaaar too many of these stashed away 130ish lots on eBay UK.

Like others, a number of sales in the lead up to Xmas:

1. T-Rex Tracker for about £60 profit after costs.  My last JW set.  This line has been a great earner (especially IR), but with the new sets around the corner, good time to get out.

2. Also got rid of all the recent freebies from SAH (VIP promo, nutcracker, 24 in 1, Gingerbread and Xmas Tree) clearing about £300.

3. Sold a few more Dr Who's (just have a couple left, just in case), making about £20 on each because of low buy-in - Like what was said above, too many of these out there and can't see this going up too much in the near future.  Rather bank the money and re-invest elsewhere

4. Sold all my Dr Strange and Darth Vader for a small loss.  Remakes on the horizon, so time to bail.

5. Sold a few of the recent minecraft sets that have been retired and already have a 120% return, given low buy in and scarcity.  Will be interesting, whether this upward trajectory will continue in 2018.  If not, still happy with a return in such a short space of time.

What do you consider a "decent profit" (I mean, after deducting all costs including shipping and fees) ?

Right about getting rid of the Vader buildables but it may have been worth holding on DSSS as the new one has a much higher price point. I guess it depends on buy-in but mine were half price so I´ll wait a bit longer.

Also sold all my JW stuff as these sets do best at Xmas time when parents are obliged to pay a premium. The new sets from the next film meant they will probably not appreciate much more.

I'm happy to make £15 on something that takes a few minutes to pack. Rinse and repeat 10x a day and you're nearly earning the average wage. Not bad for working an hour a day as long as you can sustain the turnover. If it's a large joblot of 100+ sets which needs no packing or time, £5 each will suffice.

Today... Some Doctor Whos for £45 cash each. Cost £22 each from Asda.

Well done! I'm now glad that I've held back a few boxes of 41106 so that I can milk little Jenny's parents next Xmas ;-)

It's a shame that Tesco haven't cocked up the pricing as much this year.

Hi Guys,

New to this Forum but I enjoy reading it!

Sold my 10222 Winter Village Post Office (new) for € 230 and my 10134 UCS Y-wing (used. 2nd owner) for € 600.

Found the sealed Winter Village by accident between second hand City sets and paid € 50 for it... Good deal!
