What Lego set did you sell today and for how much?

Needed to clear up some space so I decided to sell 9 of my 10 41055 Cinderella's Romantic Castle sets  that were purchased in Summer 2014. Like some of us, I thought it was going to be a nice 2014 XMAS flip (like the Dolphin Cruiser in 2013).  Boy, was I wrong.  Ended up losing $10-$13 each set after seller fees but I feel so much better with them gone.

30x Star Wars Advent Calendars for £15 each cash

30x Friends Advent Calendars for £12 each cash

These are the ones that Boots said I could keep after them leaving them out in the rain. In fact, there was no damage at all to the sets once they were dry so I just decided to offload them in one hit. A couple had loose seals but, this wasn't a problem to the buyer. Buy-in was £0.00 ;-)

I gave the buyer about a dozen assorted polybags.

And yet... you british complain about the uk weather.

We don't really get any proper weather in the UK, it's just the boring and impatient people in the UK that make it feel miserable. I've just come back from a long weekend in Iceland and I've never met such a happy bunch even though it's very expensive, wasn't light until 09:40 and dark again at 16:45.

Weather to me is 40C and clear in Summer and -30C with lots of snow and ice storms in Winter. I really miss my Expat stint in Novosibirsk, Siberia.

BTW... I saw WALL-E in a Toy Shop in Reykjavik for ISK 12,500 which is nearly £100 and was already on offer!

To be honest my main complaint is that, I really really really hate Christmas as it's just a festival of drunkeness, greed, family arguments, panic and stress. I'd move it to 29FEB if I could and even once every 4 years is still too frequent for me.

I dropped off my last remaining polybags at the 2 primary schools in my area. Just gave them away as sick of them hanging around. Since the Daily Mail promo is no more, I needn't bother picking any more up.

Another weird one. I have had 3 Brick Bountys on my Amazon site for months. Then in a 4 hour period on Friday night each of them sold to completely different buyers for $230 CDN each. This is great news, but I usually would increase the price a little after each sale and I didn't have time to do that with this blitz of activity. In to each life a little rain must fall. Was there some development in the pirating world I should be aware of? Seemed very odd to me.

That happened to me on eBay this weekend with Pirate Ship Ambush. While I was finishing packing the first one, a second one sold. I was at least able to raise the price of a third one before it sold the next morning.

All sold on BL. I was going to expand to Amazon, but then the gating thing happened. Sales and views have gone up drastically though, I guess that it helps that I'm seem to be a mass discounter (most of the sets I have I got for 50-80% off, which makes 15-40% off sale prices profitable for me)

Past four days. Buyers paid shipping

x 9 Reindeer polybags $5.48 each (buy in $2.01)

x2 Volcano Jackhammer polybags $5.48 each (buy in $4.20)

x3 Lego city space shuttle $16.98 (buy in $10)

x50 assorted polybags to NZ $149 (buy in $60ish)

x2 Bionicle $7.98 (buy in $4)

x6 Skull slicer $6 (clearance price, buy in $4.21)

It's not that I don't hold sets, I have a ever expanding stockroom of log time holds, but semi- quick flips allow me to invest more capital back into eventual higher profit items.

Flipped that old Sleeping Beauty I found at BAM for $25, buy in $10.
Seems to be a popular gift this season. I think I have one more I was going to save for my daughter, but she doesn't seemed to be interested in her. I'll see if I can get $30 for my last one =)

Oh and sold a Villa S I got from BAM too, for $82.

Here's an oldie, but appropriate for upcoming Black Friday:

60026 Town Square - bought for $75 at TRU on Black Friday 2013. Sold this week for $185.  Doubled my money.

That was my first experience of trying to hit up TRU for Black Friday.  I struck out on the Town Square and saw a line that wrapped around the entire store for 3 registers.  Got the hell out of there as fast as I could.  I'm still sitting on 1 60026, will probably build at some point.

Mine too. I managed to snag a few, despite the long lines. I remember it like yesterday, but seems like it was so long ago.

My experience at TRU on some Star Wars and LEGO products for Black Friday, come back the next afternoon.  The prices usually run throughout the weekend and they bring stuff out of the back and short lines.
