Same could be said about the GE. I really see the ads getting less by the week.

I decided to hold all of my 2014 stock rather than turn it over for 2016 sets. I am guaranteed less work and competition, but will it cost me profits?

Full report in 2 years and then I need to figure out what to do for 2020.

Yeah I will have to wait until at least 2020 before I can make $$ on my stacks of Minecraft Cave :sarcastichand:

I sold the beat up box tower bridge I picked up the other day for $200. Not too interesting but I did sell it on a new site (new to me) Nextdoor.com. It's a message board website for neighborhoods. It has a classified section. I don't think I will list any thousand dollar SSDs there but it might be good for small and used stuff. It's also great for getting local recommendations.

It's gotten so expensive to sell online, love seeing a new local source beside craigslist. It's much more personalized than CL too so I don't expect the garbage responses I sometimes get on CL.

Great suggestion!  My wife's been on it for a while, so I'd heard of it, she sold our old stroller with it. Taking your advice, I put up a listing saying I have a bunch of new and used sets.  I've already had two responses in the first couple hours, that equals the number of non-scammer CL responses I've had in the last month and a half (neither of which actually bought anything).

Thanks

Sold 2 Ant Man for £44 each. £10 buy in, in the recent TRU event. Also got reduced eBay fees so greater margin.. So all in clearing £28 for what is a 6 week hold. That's 4 that have been sold now. Just regretting not taking the remaining 5 that were still on the shelves after I have exhausted my vouchers. Based on recent sales, this is gathering momentum. Will keep the remaining few I have left till the end of the year.

I just sold some of my sets which included the following: 60097 City Square & 60098(which I actually still have as I was unsure about letting it go) and he wanted my 60022 Cargo Terminal but I talked him into the 7893 Airplane(my only opened set) so I can get Big Ben to go with my Tower Bridge and I'll put the Taj Mahal behind them! Plus the amount of new Technic sets I picked up on sale plus 15% off (The wife works for Target Headquarters) so I couldn't believe that I got a price match along with the discount, so for the 24 Hours Race Car (42039) cost a whopping $78.32!!! I have to get the matching truck now...$124.99 (plus 10% and 5% red card discount)....BTW I got $125 for City Square; $80 for 7893; and I have an offer of $125 for the heavy-haul train set, but I don't think that I'll accept it unless he comes up to $150(still less than I paid, and I made a small profit, but the best thing is I have the funds for either another modular or to go with the Palace Cinema or the 2 Technic sets wanted (Porsche and the Service Truck 42008)

WhooHoo!  Made my first sale today! A Ninjago Jay's Storm Fight and a Rattlecopter for $36.50. Hopefully he'll give me good feedback and I can get that ugly 0% off my store page.

A CL guy was supposed to come by to get a TIE Adv Proto and look at my Ghost, Phantom, and IAC, but he never showed up. That $320 would've been nice.

Sold recently:

9x 9515 Stars Wars Malevolence sets or £114.99 each (£59.98 from Asda)

10x 60057 City Camper Vans for £23.99 each (£10 from Boots)

4x 9464 MF Vampyre Hearses for £29.99 each (£9 from Tesco)

7x 41007 Pet Salons for £24.99 each (£14.99 from Sainsburys)

All "Buyer's Remorse" sets and I think myself very lucky for getting rid of them. I can't see the Exo Suits selling quite so easily! (The stinker of all stinkers!)

I would not have much remorse about selling all these sets for at least double buy-in.

I suspect Tabbyboy is like myself. We need a quick fix. If something takes too long to sell we become grumpy and get cold shivers.

Well, the Exo Suits certainly have that effect. Still, shows that even dog***** sets can turn a nice profit within 3 years if bought at the right price.

Yep, one man's crap is another man's treasure! ;-)

Who knows, the Exo Suit could be gold 5yrs from now?

Interesting, I'm surprised you view City Camper Van under "Buyers Remorse". Here in the U.S. without a single holiday season going by its sitting at 40$ usd on amazon. I expected it to do much better in Europe.

The camper was available for 2 years whereas the holy trinity of Airport truck, logger and tow truck were 1 year and done. Also, the camper was widely available for half price here so the fact that it is going for 35-40 euros is not bad. It is outperforming the plough and car transporter.

I have high expectations regarding the car transporter.
