normally i'd say there is no chance for a new AT-AT before late 2017 and would want to hold til 2018  but Rogue 1 trailer has me spooked a little for an earlier remake first quarter next year.

That's where I'm at. This is a money train for Disney and Lego and AT-AT's are always popular. I would be shocked not to see a new one, maybe even late this year.

$61 buy ins

Nice buy in price!  Were those on clearance or some TRU combo?

Also I forgot to add this little gem in my recent FBM sales.  I only had one that I got on clearance for really cheap:

Planets TIE Interceptor and Death Star 9676 - $26 + shipping

This has taken a pleasant jump.  I was a little concerned about it, since they were widely available at Target for $17.

That's awesome.  I haven't checked the LOTR/Hobbit very much lately, because I figure they are just long term holds.  Well, after looking at amazon prices currently, it looks like a lot of sets have jumped a bit since the holiday season.  I always had a little faith in this set, because it's got Steven Tyler's elven clone.

snowspeeder and at-at prices are on the move up the last couple of weeks.  Imperial star destroyer still stuck in neutral.

i need to raise a little working capital and those AT-AT's are calling to me as well.  1000 piece at-at sets are on a 3-4 year schedule like clock work since 2003.  normally i'd say there is no chance for a new AT-AT before late 2017 and would want to hold til 2018  but Rogue 1 trailer has me spooked a little for an earlier remake first quarter next year.

I'm doing a tiered sales approach on these, and I'm debating on doing it with the ISD too (but I only have 5 of those), because like you, i'm kind of hedging that At-At's and ISD's will surely be re-released either in January or next year, and while they probably will have a new lineup of Mini's, the similarities will be too close.  So, my strategy is simply like this.  Had 12 AT-AT's - sell 3 now - I was hoping they would sell within a month or two, but they sold at the price I wanted (over 210.00) in less than 2 weeks, which shows me they have serious demand.  Then i'll sell 3 more over the summer/early fall period before September 30th force friday (at hopefully a higher price), then sell 3 more over the holiday christmas rush.  I'm going to hold 3 for the long term and probably one or two for a 5 year period.

Just selling 3 of these right now, pretty much paid for half of the 12 I purchased.  So that is a win, in my book.  I'm thinking of moving the cash into a slave 1 (that i'll open), a sandcrawler (that i'll hold as an investment), and a FO Transporter (a set that I barely see in the stores anymore).

I sold a Spiderman Cycle Chase for $25, Superman Black Zero Escape for $25, Batman Man-Bat Attack for $25, Joker Bumper Car polybag for $10, and a City High Speed Chase for $15.  Buy in was $13.99, $13.06, $17.43, $4.35, and $6.46.  I made a profit of $44.71.  Not too bad and I'm glad I'm thinning out my Superhero sets.  I've had them for a while and felt like I was never able to get rid of them.  Especially the Superman Black Zero Escape sets.........big stinkers if you ask me.

Mixel Series 5 complete set- $55+7 shipping. Buy in ~39. Salescalc says I made 8 bucks. Two free mixels. Still have a couple more complete sets to sell. Agree with another site that these and CMFs are a way to go. Less headaches (picky buyers, storage, etc).

Was a few days ago but sold one of my Ant-man sets for $45 and when I looked at the buyer it was the good folks at Toywiz who are selling them for somewhere around $75. I feel somewhat duped but good for them and I still made about a $30 profit on it.

Better prices on FBM. Sold for $75 in under a week (4/14). Buy-in was $37.50 but profit was $17.50.

Also sold $300 of polybags (about 15 different) to Japan via BL. Ranged from $0.39 friends red carpet, $1.99 olafs and random stuff like pumpkin, rocking horse and various SW stuff. Probably $100-$150 profit on $100 buy in, 100%+ returns with most less than a year holds.

For that reason alone (selfish, I know) I hope LEGO does not ramp up operations in Asia. Sold many a polybag to Asian buyers - to the point that I know if I just list them for around the average BL price they'll sell within days.

Doesn't matter - your profit margin is going to be better than theirs.

That might also explain one of my Ant Man set sales to a shop on BL. They may be trying to flip it for more.

Sold my 3rd MKII (42009) for $299 (~$250 after shipping and fees).  Thats half my stash for the yoyo fire sale.  will probably hold the other 3 for a bit, but space is tight right now with clearance flowing in and Christmas a long way off...

A couple more FBA sales:

Endor & Imperial Troop BP 9489 - $40

Croc Swamp Hideout 70014 - $125 - Sometimes there are winners in even the weakest performing themes.  I found this one lingering at TRU in December for about $50.  Unfortunately I didn't buy more earlier.

Chima Flying Phoenix Fire Temple 70146     €75 cash (9 month hold, buy in €50)

Arkham Asylum Breakout 10937                   €238 shipped on ebay   (11 month hold, €150 buy in)

Only bought the Chima because the buy in was so cheap on a huge set, didn't think it was worth holding long term, so freed up cash flow there. Think it says a lot about the appeal of Chima, this was a €120 RRP set. I am now the proud owner of zero Chima sets, feels good.

Arkham Asylum was one of the first exclusives I bought when I started investing last year, I might have jumped the gun on this, but there's so much negativity around this set that I decided to cash in early. I already have other purchases lined up of recently retired sets that I think will do well, so rather put the money into them.
