What Lego set did you sell today and for how much?

Corporate Alliance Tank Droid and Endor Battle Pack to one guy for $60 CDN on craigslist. The tank was priced at 3 times what I paid for it and it sold for exactly the reason I figured this would be a winner - dude said he was getting it for his little brother who really wanted a Jango figure while having 5 Boba Fetts. Attack of the Clones indeed.

Finally got rid of my 9398 Crawler for 211€ excl. shipping. One of the more disappointing investments. 6 months of blocked funds (and attic :/) for meager 25€ profit after fees...

I fail to see the problem when you made a 15% profit in 6 months and it wasn't a small time item.

Oh my god... you had to keep that set for 6 months... that is half a year! And it wasted space...hmm. Are you sure you already learned enough about selling technic? What did you expect? Tripling price after a year?

Wait for, let's say at least 2 years after the EOL of technic sets. It works well for me! Hoping for big gains half a year later, hmm, perhaps the wrong line for you...

Yes, now I believe I learned something about the selling potential the Technic might have. The dwindling one ;)

I thought this one would hitchhike on 41999 ride as the crawler for the masses. Wrong call. Now, don't get me wrong guys, I realize it's not that bad and no, I didn't expect 300% ROI, but a zero less would be sort of nice. If it was consistently selling for 240€ in this time of year, I'd probably keep it and not sell at all. It's just the simple fact that when investment is not performing to your standards & expectations (provided they are realistic ofc), get out ASAP, your money is better spent elsewhere. Gingerbread Houses for example :P Takes way less space along the way :)

Do not blame the set. I have a good number myself. It is just selling slowly and there are too many listings. Let this be a lesson for future Technic investments.
