I already have 4 sets earmarked for TOTs donation. A couple of Elves sets for the girls and some Superhero sets for the boys.

St. Jude and Muscular Dystrophy Association are also great organizations to donate to.  We are closely tied with MDA and ALS, since we have nephews with MD and participate in fundraisers quite often.  Coincidentally, we have the kids setup with a giving tree and they sent their charity allowance to MDA today.

I BET THIS PARTICULAR  FORUM IS ON "KAPLAN'S" COMPUTER. HE'S THE FELLOW THAT KICKS YOU OFF LS@H. HE WOULD BE A NICE GUY IF HE DID'NT WORK FOR LEGO. THIS IS INFORMATION THAT LEGO USES FOR MANY PURPOSES. THERE WILL BE AN AMNESTY FORUM SOON. IF SOMEONE WANTS TO  START IT BE FOR I DO. DO IT! IF THERE IS ANYTHING YOU FEEL IMPORTANT IN THIS ATTEMPT TO HAVE LEGO GRANT AN AMNESTY PLEASE LMK. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE GOT BUMPED OFF LS@H. NOT THAT WE NEED THEM, WE STILL BUY THEIR PRODUCT AND THEY STILL MAKE MONEY OFF US. THE AMNESTY EFFORT SHOULD BE WORLD WIDE AND CATCH PRESS IN OTHER UNOFFICIAL LEGO SITES.

I JUST TURNED 70 YEARS OLD AND I STILL ENJOY BUILDING, LOOKING AND PLAYING WITH THEM. I MUST OWN A FEW THOUSAND MINI-FIGURES AND REALLY ENJOY THEM. AND DON'T FORGET, "AMNESTY" IS FOR ALL AGES!

So I went a little old school.  My credit card was screaming from Black Friday  ( a dozen Wal-Mart cubes, 40% off in the Lego store, Target and Meijer (oh My)), my winter tax bill came in today and my wife needed money for a final loan payment on her part of the mortgage.  So, who to the rescue - Lego

With ebay $10 cap on Final Value Fees I listed 12 NIB sets with various BIN prices on Sunday

Five sets sold (parenthesis is revenue after ebay fees, paypal fees and U.S. Mail fees (I was so happy everything shipped East from Michigan for the postal fees))

8671 Ferrari F430 Spider - $115 ($86.27)  - purchased from a Discovery store on the Atlantic City Boardwalk with some of my winnings from a second place finish in a poker tournament some years ago.

7097 - Troll's Mountain Fortress - $170 ($140.47)

7662 - MTT $400 ($357.70) - From a Target Black Friday deal years ago when they used to have a pallet load and I only bought single sets.

7627 - Indiana Jones Temple of the Crystal Skull $160 ($128.51) - Last of my Indiana Jones sets

8877 Vladeks Dark Fortress $180 ($146.88)

Outside of the MTT the sets really did not have a place in the collection and the fact I saved $50 in ebay fees for these sets made it easier to move them out.

I had put a number of these sets out at the garage sale last year (see the garage sale thread for that story) and these "collector sets" just had no interest so ebay was the only place I could take them and sell them to a broader market that would have interest.   Happy with the results and the tax bill is paid.

For someone who's in Europe, you sure are fascinated with American politics...

I know this is off topic but it´s interesting because in many Euro countries, politics is a career and you prepare for it when you are at uni. In the US, it seems like they need to be either an entrepreneur, actor or relative of another former president.

This country is a mess. When the most "famous" person is famous for making a sex tape, we're in trouble...

The film Idiocracy is well worth watching for a glimpse of how we will be living in the future (a WWE wrestler is president and people water their plants with energy drinks).

That's what happens when the voting public is mostly stupid people. Which is why we will have President Trump. And we deserve the destruction he brings.

This is truly madness, in the last 24 hours sold 8 Christmas trains on Amazon for £44.99 each, I normally keep this years freebies until next Christmas but for £45 I just had too, especially seeing as how there going for around £25 on eBay. Like most people I prefer the GBH as well.

Folks are undercutting Creator: Family House like crazy on Amazon right now.  I guess they'll be out of the way soon.

I had to look it up and was stunned to see a 20% decrease, but it will rebound after Christmas.  I cashed out at $90-107 after fees (US) so I can't complain.

I'm seeing around $95 right now. I haven't been trending prices on that one lately, what was it going for before the undercutting started?

Seeing those sold prices makes me sad I did not meet the holiday selling requirements. Do past promo items sell well? Wondering if thr GBH is just hot right now. Will interest in the set wane by 2016 Christmas?
