What Lego set did you sell today and for how much?

Spoken like a TLG executive :D There's no guarantee on that, especially since their license seems extended with 2016 Volvo. I am still a small time seller with low feedback count on ebay, and on French ebay where I first registered, there's simply not enough visibility :/ I get anywhere between 10-20 visits; a fellow reseller or two follows the sale and no bids... Kinda tired of it. Especially since there's cr*ap load of them from German resellers with way higher feedback ratings.

Certainly. But still made a whopping 4 euro profit on them movie sets.

Dunno what is worse. The Movie or Lone Ranger.

I never thought much of the Movie sets but the few ones I got sold well - and I credit that to pure luck. But I have to admit that I only bought The Movie sets at more than 50 % off. Got one Bad Kitty and one Creative Ambush left and I'm done with the theme.

Lone Ranger is a different story all together - Stagecoach Escape anyone???

Maybe one day, Lone Ranger will experience a resurrection, like Prince of Persia did.

I kinda want one of those stagecoaches to go with 90's Wild West sets

It´s just insane what people are willing to pay for those recent rare CITY sets. Look at 60061 - apart from in my backward country, it is trading for at least double RRP of 30 when many will have got it at 10-20 euros. I´m waking up to the fact that exclusives are no longer the way to go in this game.

4x GBH for $49 shipped

Sold my last City Logging Truck for $85 shipped at $11 buy in. I find is amusing that I made more profit on that one than what I'm expecting for one of my PS three years from now.

I wouldn't be that cynical on the Pet Shop.  I think you will be pleasantly surprised when it goes.

I sold through all of my Stagecoaches at $50 each and made a good profit. I picked up 20 or so at KMart for $11-$13 each. Still kicking myself for leaving behind the 20 or so Gandalf Arrives at $6 each. I think I bought 3.

Gandalf Arrives has to be one of the best investment winners of the last 2 years.  Its at least top 10.

Sold a Star Wars Advent Calendar back to Walmart for $40.  I just found it there a couple weeks ago... picked it up just in case things got "crazy".  But they didn't.  Listed it on craigslist for $49... (no calls)... decided to give it back so some kid can enjoy it this year at regular retail.

I'm expecting lower appreciation than the GE, as GE was lower than FB in the same span of time. PS will plateau at $250 well after retirement.

I hope you are right. If PS hits 250 euro after fees and shipping I will get rid of 40% of my PS stock.

Oh, it will but it will be your son´s grandchildren that will be deciding whether to sell 40% of their inherited stock, not you! They´ll then have the tough decision on whether to reinvest in DS or not.

I will put in my testament that if by then, they reinvest, they must do it in T1's.

Or White Houses. The only way that one retires is if Donald Trump wins and charges a 1m USD monthly licence fee - insert Dr Evil with comb over meme here.

The way things are going, Lego may be making VW´s for longer than VW!

Today, sold my TRU force friday lego give-away brick for 16.00 plus shipping.

Death Star Troopers for 18.00 then I raised my price, and another sold at 25.00.  Don't know why..don't know how, but i've come to the conclusion they could print darth vader crapping out chewbacca right now on a 3x3 lego brick and it would sell for 50.00.

JW Raptor Escape with GT Poly for 120.00 shipped.

The last 24 hours in one post:

Sales are soaring on holiday sets. (Frozen still a profit for now). JW returns are slowing for some.

Star Wars advent calendars are better off returned to where you bought them. Super cheap finds may yield more profit than the Pet Shop (that is, until the day after you unload your last PS and the price sky rockets). The Lego Movie vs. The Lone Ranger - which one is a worse investment? Sea Cows are too big to ship safely (because it's a cow, after all). Back and forth about VW potential.
