Republic Gunship 75021 - $180 shipped

Hobbit Lake-town Chase 79013 - $77 shipped

Hearse 9464 - $45 shipped

Batman Tumbler Chase 76001 $60 shipped

I'm encouraged by the small jump Tumbler Chase has taken.  Not great, but a decent bump for a set that was $29.00 at many Wal-Marts for a good amount of time.

Yep, still holding out hope for LOTR and Hobbit once they're completely gone.  I just wish they would retire the Desolation of Smaug sets already.  The Mirkwood Elf Army and Dol Guldur Battle should have retired with Lake-town Chase.  They're hanging around too long.

Average buy-in for me on Tumbler Chase was ~$26.  Not a bad return.  I like the Hearse buy-in at $9 better, tho lol.

I have one Gunship left so I'm bumping the price.  They sold quickly for me.

The Gunships are selling nicely, for sure.  I was unlucky on the S@H Vampyre Hearse blowout.  I made the mistake and was one of the FIRST to place orders, so therefore, I was one of the FIRST to get my orders canceled.  I did get several at KMart for $13 each, but that's the best I did.

Maybe just maybe, I should have hold back instead of QF those Gunships I got for 50% off at Target way back when :D

Honestly, I see those gunships approaching the 300.00 mark by next xmas if things hold steady.  It's got a few things going for it.  It's the most "iconic" ship of the prequels.  It has the main characters (anakin, padmi, obi-wan, and some unique clones), and it's really a great build.  This and the MTT are the two prequel sets I have bought a few multiples of to hold.  The rest of the prequel vehicles, i've passed on as an investment.  Although the AT-TE has shown some slight promise, but I decided to pass on that one too.  The other slight potential is General Greivous Wheel bike, but we shall see.  It seems to be hovering for a long time..

With how long the Droid Gunship, and AT-TP are hovering without selling out anywhere, I think those sets are complete wastes to invest in and duds. The vulture droid looks like it was also a dud, although I bought a few at 14.00 during a TRU blow out.

The prequel had too many duds for a supposedly iconic licensed line which was why I auto-QF them (more or less).  Take Gungan Sub for example, exclusive figs and truly unique design (nothing in OT looked like it).  However, it is still stuck at MSRP after what, 2 years?

But it has JAR JAR BINKS!  :)  I personally thought the sub was pretty cool, but that made absolutely no sense in the movie, and was sort of a pointless scene.  Blah...

Until the movie plays and people react to it in a mostly positive manner, the same thing could occur with Episode 7 sets.  We shall see.  I hope not.  It would be nice to see Star Wars turn around and have another great run.

The question is how many waves of new SW sets will we see over the next 15 months. Obviously we will see the first wave this fall then another in the spring (jan-april)

I believe Rogue 1 is December 16th 2016, and then Episode 8 is in May 2017....  So there could be 3 waves per year (kind of like this year).  It sounds like the winter wave coming up has 2 new full sets and 2 battle packs for Episode 7.  So, that's 11 sets to start.  Then i'm guessing the summer wave will have some more, then another wave will occur in September for Rogue 1, while the winter wave could be for Episode 8.  Episode 7's sets possible could only be a year and a half window, before they tail off, since there are so many movies out.  There is only so many they can produce in a wave, so that could bode well in that there may only be 15 to 20 sets dedicated to episode 7 in the next 5 to 7 years and not many repeats.  We can only hope..

It made no sense because the whole movie did not make sense and would crumble as soon as anyone took a closer look at the plot points :D Take that whole "journey through planet core" for example.  For it to make sense, one would have to ask why the bad guy had to land their droid troops so far away from the palace / capital city to begin with. :D
