What Lego set did you sell today and for how much?

I have just the opposite problem with my Amazon orders.  Always shipping to the west coast from Ohio.  I hate how it eats away at my profit.

I also have the same issue - seems like I'm always shipping to Silicon Valley (Menlo Park, Mountain View) from western MA.  One thing I have started to do is reprice my stuff throughout the day.  Early in the morning east cost time, I drop prices by a few bucks and then raise the prices again around 6-7 pm . Definitely seeing an improvement in shipping and also increased sale volume which I wasn't expecting.  Thanks to exciter1 for this strategy.

Yep, pull the rug out from under them while they're sleeping.

are you repricing on ebay or amazon. Seems like a lot of work. I assume you focus on doing this for bigger and heavier sets?

I've had a much higher % of orders go to CA than any other state. I wonder if FBA would be better in this situation. B/c of the shipping allowance most of the time it's far to low to cover costs to ship across the us.

I mitigate this somewhat by setting my price a bit higher, then using the "best offer" feature.  I know that if someone is wanting to buy a Batcave in NY vs CA...I am willing to cut the CA guy a break since shipping will be lower.  If someone wants to pay my full asking price (which they do sometimes...which is weird to me) then so be it.  I am getting 10-15% higher anyways.

I could use "calculate shipping" too, I guess.  But my way works well for me.  Still hate shipping cross country though.

amazon.  i only do this for the sets that are "moving" and seem to be selling - could be a smaller or a larger set.

its very easy to reprice inventory with amazon.  I only sell about 50 different sets.  manage inventory page, just change the prices and hit save all.

I sold 4 Wolverine's Chopper Showdowns (6866) for £60 each, bought for £10 each, though I'm quite worried about the speed they sold after having them in my Bricklink store for quite some time!!! I can see this set appreciating after the Deadpool movie is released. What are the chances of Lego releasing another Deadpool minifig? I get that he's popular, but with the movie being so adult oriented, might be a bit risque for TLG!!!

Too early for you, but the right time for him.

Thanks, Alpine.  I really do have limited room to store sets and unfortunately I only have my closet to work with.  I'm planning on buying another Pet Shop and maybe a Palace Cinema and then I may use the money for some other things that I need.  Plus, I gave the wifey some money as well.  It's the first time I've been able to do that and I wanted to show her that this Lego investing wasn't a waste of time.

I think the chances of getting another Deadpool minifig is a lot greater than the chances of not...

Yep, lucky I guess.  Just sold another Droid Escape for $53.

They must want you to raise your prices and enjoy the ride.
