Hi Everyone,

Been a lego fan all my life but was completely oblivious to this side of it.  I remember being shocked seeing 10179 in the store years back and thinking,..THAT...IS... AWESOME!!! My second thought was that this is gonna be worth something some day. Slowly working up the nerve to buy and then my rational side kicked me in the nutz and said, "Dude! 500 bucks?  its just plastic bricks."

Never Again.

What you are describing is called: "Kicking yourself later" and from my experience, you'll still be doing lots of it even when you are investing :D

But your successes should make up for it.

Welcome! I am sorry to say our Seattle allocation is already filled up. Too many smart brickpickers already :-p

Be sure to check out our Pacific Northwest thread, sometimes people post in there about Bartells, Fred Meyer, etc, that the broad forum won't care about.

The first LEGO store I ever walked into was the one in Bellevue, WA. It was around the time Indiana Jones and the Crystal skull LEGO came out and they had a display of a huge crystal skull made out of clear bricks! I begged the clerk to sell it to me, but no dice...

But Seattle is a nice town, welcome!
