super26 Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 I just came across this on eBay. Do you guys think its a good investment?http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEGO-30300-The-Batman-Tumbler-/281235314340?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item417aee56a4 Quote
Easy78 Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 nope! no minifig - basic elements - dont spend your money her Quote
glenbart Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 I'd try to find out what they are intended for, promotion of soon to be in for $5. Investment wise, a winner, but I wouldn't jump into buying at $9. I'd check the Lego news on the web, chances are ino will get posted on the new section on this site. I love it! Quote
@rtisan Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Wow! Haven`t seen this yet. For investment, Easy78 has it pretty good I think. Only thing that could make this a good investment is going to be the type of release it has. If it`s a promo, then more money, if it`s widespread, not so much given the lack of minifigs. At $9 I`d wait and see what`s going to happen with it. Bound to be some news soon. Quote
super26 Posted December 28, 2013 Author Posted December 28, 2013 Yeah. $9 is kinda expensive. Anyone of you see this at any retailers yet? Quote
TheDarkness Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 I like it. Will need to get a few of them if they are cheap. It does raise my hopes a little that we may see another Lego Tumbler, though this could also be all we get too. Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I'm trying to figure out why this guy is charging 15 bucks to ship polybag. Quote
TheOrcKing Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Cool polybag actually seeing an official minibuild of the Tumbler. I wouldn't buy it second hand for investment. Wait until it actually becomes available in whichever store it will pop up in. Let's see, without a minifigure and if it doesn't appear at Toys R Us, this could have a MSRP of $3.49-$3.99. I don't see where the lack of a minifigure will hurt it considering how much of a completist most polybag collectors are. Plus it is Batman afterall. Quote
vincevaughn Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 The 30161 batmobile poly from 2012 is pretty similar concept.....seems to be holding steady at around 10 bucks Quote
super26 Posted December 31, 2013 Author Posted December 31, 2013 I miss out. I was going to get one but it's all sold out. :( Quote
seapotato Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 where did you see it in Canada? I can never find any polybags here! I miss out. I was going to get one but it's all sold out. Quote
super26 Posted December 31, 2013 Author Posted December 31, 2013 where did you see it in Canada? I can never find any polybags here! I saw it on eBay. I ask the seller if he had more but I didn't get an answer yet. Quote
lobo1969 Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 I'm trying to figure out why this guy is charging 15 bucks to ship polybag. Tracked shipping from Canada to USA could cost as much as $15... Quote
ehong Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 I saw it on eBay. I ask the seller if he had more but I didn't get an answer yet. i find it quite nice and cool, so my friend and I bought 8 of it.... Quote
super26 Posted January 1, 2014 Author Posted January 1, 2014 i find it quite nice and cool, so my friend and I bought 8 of it.... lucky you. Wished I got some, too.. I guess i have to wait now. Quote
glenbart Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 The batwing should show up too soon, Im a big fan of the batmobile polybags, looks so sleek. It would be nice if they turned up in the uk newspaper promos Anyway, pics of the batwing if you have not seen it yet. http://www.groovebricks.com/two-more-2014-lego-super-heroes-polybags/ Quote
Snarkie Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 At 2:26, he mentions a UCS tumbler coming soon!!! Quote
TheOrcKing Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2BNmn8TYdE This little Tumbler has surfaced in a Target store here in the US and retailed for $3.99 as usual like I figured. On a another note, do these polybags (as in the actual bag itself) need to be this large? It's like those bags of chips with half of it being nothing but air. I know they would be easier to store if they were much smaller such as the little ones up at the checkout aisles. Via The Brick Fan (Note: This is not me that found it. Someone on facebook did.) TheDarkness Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I'd love to grab a few at those prices. Who knows if it ever will be available here in Australia Quote
djim Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 I've been finding these at my local Target in San Francisco, along with some Lego Movie poly bags. I've bought a couple dozen so far...should I keep buying? It looks like they are currently worth about 50% more than MSRP..will they continue to go up or should I sell them now? Quote
Full Tilt Bricks Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 I think it is kinda common. I've come across them in every Target I have looked in, in my area. That's about 6-7 stores. For 3.99, it can't hurt to at least grab some. I bought 6. I wouldn't get too into them though. Interest may pick up once the new movie comes out and help the price, but I doubt it goes past triple or so. The lack of a minifig hurts it as well. Quote
djim Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 that makes sense. thanks. im generally interested in investing in large sets, but i saw these and knew i recognized them from this website, so i figured why not. Quote
seapotato Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 It's too bad there is no fig. I have five of these but sounds like they are readily available in the states! Sent from my iPod touch using Brickpicker Quote
djim Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 the model is too small for a minifig (i built one ). Quote
