Dbroncoboy Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Anyone else been seeing some weird prices on orders actually sold by Amazon. I just saw 6868 for 42.99, only one left in stock... Well over retail. Last Night I saw batcaves at $84.99... Ive never seen Amazon selling legos over MSRP before... Quote

However, there are zero competitions with no inventory elsewhere, since they are the only game in town they have no problem charging above MSRP. Quote
Jojoyojimbi Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 some things are worth paying more than retail for, I found a tiny little sweets shop in my town that has 18 Cap'****** America Avenger bikes on the shelf, they're $18.99 each I shall own all of them before I'm done, they also have Hulk helicarriers and batcaves Quote

They are either third-party sellers or Amazon is doing this because there is no other site that has them in stock so they can charge a higher price. I have seen it happen various times around Christmas especially. Browsing Amazon.com everyday, I see at least 25 of these types of prices. Quote

That would be expected as non of my lego listings on amazon are below MSRP That said it makes sense. Quote

Not as bad as Toys R Us but can still catch you off guard if not paying attention. Quote
Msudawgs56 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 I noticed this also. And it was not third party. Their prices go up and down.. i prefer the plummeting prices. Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 If you look at the Amazon discount page on BP is warns you if the price is a high one as well. Quote
