Goofyhobbie
Like most of you I guess I could be considered an AFOL.At the age of 67 I first discovered Lego in July, 2011. Since then I have become quite addicted to my new hobby. As of this October, I own 32 complete sets that I know of including 15 brand new sets that I have yet to open.My primary passion is acquiring "used" Lego and exploring the "find" to create original sets by first determining what I have acquired and then hunting down the missing pieces to complete a set or sets including acquiring the instructions for each set and when possible finding an original box. So far I have yet to actually build anything except for the 8674-1 - Ferrari F1 Racer 1:8.After my accumulation phase is done and I have inventoried everything, I intend to really get into the building phase. Right now, however, I am enjoying building a collection of well over 400 mini-figures and trying to catch up accumulating sets that appear to be interesting challenges. You have me beat....I went the first 32 years of my life without interaction with LEGOS. Sounds like you found something you are going to enjoy! Good luck and this is a great site with lots of knowlegable members that combined, pretty much cover the entire spectrum of the hobby. I also sell a few of the ones i bought that gained more value so that I can afford to get them the larger sets that they actually ask for.Legos are expensive!?!?!Anyways...I want to introduce myself and say hi and thank you for the information I have already learned from everyone.Regards-Kuta

I've been collecting and playing with LEGO bricks since 1975 and they were expensive then. But in life, usually, you get what you pay for and LEGO bricks are of top quality and always have been in my opinion.
