belljohn Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 All the Lego Movie sets are posted on Lego's website for Dec 29th release. shop.lego.com/en-US/THE-LEGO-MOVIE-ByTheme Quote
M4x18 Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Sweet! They should be hitting EU LEGO Shop at Home soon! Quote
lobo1969 Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 These are some wonderfully strange sets. Certainly a unique line. Can't wait! Quote
TheOrcKing Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 They've been on Lego's webstore for a little while now. Heck, even Walmart and Target has some of them listed already. Quote
metsrock507 Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 although i think these sets look terrible, at the same i realize the weirdness of these sets may make them all the more collectible. Quote
jaylay Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 wow, all the sets are incredibly wild!! could be strong investment sets depending on the movie. Quote
Achilles Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Seems like a lot of sets for a line, 13 right off the rip. And interesting no "big" set - two $69 jobbies. And the Cat/Unicorn thing is adorable. Quote
Quacs Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 I thought I heard these sets will have two builds - the "wild" build and the regular build. I believe the plumbers truck will have instructions for a "typical" plumbing truck in addition to the attack vehicle. That will likely expand appeal for these, potentially to City AFoLs. Quote

And interesting no "big" set - two $69 jobbies.I don't know, an 859 part set sounds pretty big to me especially for $70. Did anyone catch the "Fabuland" t-shirt the girl is wearing? How about the Blacktron one on the guy? Quote
vincevaughn Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Did anyone catch the "Fabuland" t-shirt the girl is wearing? How about the Blacktron one on the guy? Oh man the Blacktron shirt is awesome, I completely missed that. My want for this set just shot up 9000%. I really hope the whole movie does a great job of honoring and/or making fun of the retro sets/themes. Quote
hepcatpunk Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Ended up buying 3 of these todat at TRU and 8 of the minifigs. Got the Glider Getaway, the Cuckoo Palace, and the Ice Cream Machine...effectively 25% off since I spent just over 100, and they were marked at MSRP. Like 'em. Quote
willy431 Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Love them! Looks like a bunch of MOC. Quote

DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Lets talk winners people - what do you think? I like the lair and cycle chase and trash compactor. Quote
Migration Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 I agree with DNIM about Lair and Cycle Chase but would add Creative Ambush, that plane is cool. The Trash Chomper does nothing for me. Quote
hepcatpunk Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 So bad at smooshing....of the 8 I bought, got Abe Lincoln x3, Panda Guy--yay!, Sombrero Guy, Mermaid, The lady w/ the cat, and the Barista. 1 Quote

Darth_Raichu Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 I got a box of unmolested The LEGO Movies CMF this morning at TRU. 60 packs per box. Surprisingly $2.99 a piece and part of the $25 off $100 promo. Now I just need to find time to unleash my fingering techniques Quote

kvasir Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Theses are bizarre sets for AFOLs but I'm looking forward to get the Ice cream Truck and the Cloud Cuckoo Palace for their whimpsical colours. Was at the LEGO store in Calgary on Saturday the 21st, still no sign of the Series 12 CMF. I'm waiting for them to come out BEFORE the new year so I can spend my $30 in giftcards. Quote
Alpinemaps Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 So bad at smooshing....of the 8 I bought, got Abe Lincoln x3, Panda Guy--yay!, Sombrero Guy, Mermaid, The lady w/ the cat, and the Barista. I'd be happy with that pull. Well, I guess I don't need three Abes, but otherwise, yeah. Quote
M4x18 Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Dang it, with so many things moving on to greener pastures during december these come out. I'd really like to get one of each of the sets and store them away, but Unimog, FB, WVC and some SW sets going away I have my hands full and wallet empty :'( Quote
