Alpinemaps
I'm in contact with someone on my local Craigslist that has a fully built Tower Bridge they want to sell for $150. I'm conflicted - a little bit because they are a 50 minute drive away. Is this a no-brainer? Should I be pulling the trigger on this deal? This isn't for build purposes, but for investment. @rtisan
For investment, it`s a bit off a toss up. Current value is ~$200 used, and it is likely a sure fire investment winner. I`d say it comes down to how long you are comfortable holding it for. If you want a quicker flip, I`d pass (unless you could get it down to $125 or so). Even if you don`t mind a longer hold, I`d suggest trying to knock it down to the $125 range. Seems like you could up your likelihood of getting a decent return if the price is a bit lower. Just my $0.02.
StarPod
i honestly feel like buying used while in production is a good investment strategy. Less of an investment but possibly same ROI

lowillsw
Ask 125, nice display piece for the living room while it appreciates.
akohns
I'd jump on it as used ones are few and far between on Ebay and I want to build one but I don't have any room to display it so I probably wouldn't hold on to it very long. Alpinemaps
Thanks for the advice everyone. I'm going to ask $125 and see what happens. I don't mind holding onto the set for awhile. That's my strategy for these big sets. Plus, used, I can put it together to "verify" all the parts before storing it away. I'll keep everyone up to date. cissi
$150 is good enough for me to pull trigger on a used TB. But it's CL, so I will probably try to cut price, given that it's hard to see if the set's complete at the moment and hard to back up after you count the pieces. DoNotInsertIntoMouth
Definitely worth it at that price.
Guest TabbyBoy
Good value but, these are around for a long time so don't hold your breath. TBH, I'd keep it for bits rather then sell on.
jaisonline
i honestly feel like buying used while in production is a good investment strategy. Less of an investment but possibly same ROI I feel the same. Plus, the original poster should build it anyway in-case it will be sold in the future.
